SECT. I. BE it enacted by the senate and house of represen tatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania in general assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the act entitled, an act to incorporate the Philadelphia society, for the encouragement of domestic manufactures, passed the eleventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seven, be and the same is hereby extended, and continued in force for the term of twenty years, with all the powers, privileges and restrictions, contained in the original act to which this is a supple

CHAPTER LXXII.

An ACT for the relief of Robert Love.

WHEREAS it appears to the legislature, that certificates of funded debt were issued to Robert Love, of the county of Northumberland, (now Lycoming,) numbered 4758, 4962, and 6005, and that a certificate numbered 6018, issued to John Love, his minor son; that the said certificates were lost on their way to the said Robert Love; and that they have never been redeemed by the commonwealth: Therefore,

CHAPTER LXXIII.

An ACT to enable the guardians of David Maclay and Robert Maclay, minor children of Samuel Maclay, late of Northumberland county, deceased, to make partition on their behalf of certain real estate.

WHEREAS Samuel Maclay of Northumberland county, deceased, by his last will and testament, devised his real estate to his children, and desired them to make partition of the same according to the value thereof; and whereas, two of the children of the said Samuel, being minors under the age of twentyone years, are unable to release to the other devisees, or join in the amicable partition directed by the said last will: For remedy whereof,

SECT. I. Be it enacted by the senate and bouse of representatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in general assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Guardians of William A. CHAPTER LXXIV.

A SUPPLEMENT to the act, entitled "An act making appropriations for certain roads therein mentioned, and also for improving the navigation of certain rivers," passed the eleventh of April, one thousand eight hundred and seven.

SECT. I. BE it enacted by the senate and bouse of representatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania in general assembly met, and it is bereby enacted by the authority of the same, J. Armstrong That James Armstrong, of Middle Paxton township, Dauphin appointed in county, be, and he is hereby appointed in the room and place of the place of Thomas Stubbs, deceased, for the same purposes mentioned in T. Stubbs, the fifth section of the act to which this is a supplement; and deceased, that the governor be, and he is hereby authorized to supply any supply future vacancy that may hereafter arise, either by death, resignation, or otherwise.

An ACT relative to the courts of common pleas, in the county of Cumberland.

WHEREAS many suitors in the county of Cumberland, suffer inconvenience by reason of the president of the court of

common pleas, in said county, having, before his appointment to said office, been concerned in many important causes which prevents him from sitting at the trial of such causes, and thereby deprives the said suitors of the advantage of legal opinions and decisions, on questions of law, arising on the trial of such causes For remedy whereof,

CHAPTER LXXVI.

An ACT to authorize the governor to incorporate a company for making an artificial road from, at, or near the village of Belmont, in the county of Wayne, in a southerly direction, `along or near the route of the North and South state read, until it shall intersect the Easton and Wilkes-Barre turnpike road, in Northampton county.

SECT. I. BE it enacted by the senate and house of representatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in general assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Commission- Myers Fisher, John Read, Peter S. Duponceau, Stephen ers appointed. Girard, Benjamin Tilghman, of the city of Philadelphia; Conrad Kreider, John Ross, George Keller, Samuel Reese and Adam Heckman, of Northampton county; Samuel Stanton, Thomas Meredith, Asa Stanton, and Joseph Woodbridge, of Wayne county, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners, to do and perform the several things hereinafter mentioned, that is to say, they shall, on or before the first Monday in June next, procure three books, and in each of them enter as follows: "We whose names are hereunto subscribed, do promise to pay to the president, managers, and company, of the Belmont and Easton turnpike road, the sum of fifty dollars, for every share of stock in said company set opposite our respective names, in such manner and proportions, and at such times, as shall be determined by the president and managers of the said company, in pursuance of an act of the general assembly of this commonwealth, entitled "An act to authorize the governor to incorporate a company, for making an artificial road from, at or near the village of Belmont, in the county of Wayne, in a southerly direction, along or near the route of the North and South state road, until it shall intersect the Easton and Wilkes-Barre turnpike road in Northampton county."
