CHAPTER LXI.

An ACT for the relief of Jacob Rouse, a wounded soldier. SECT. I. BE it enacted by the senate and house of representatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the state-treasurer be and he is hereby required to pay to Jacob Rouse, of Northampton county or his order, forty dollars, immediately after the passage of this act, and forty dollars annually, to be paid half yearly during life, to commence from the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and twelve. CHAPTER LXII.

An ACT for the relief of John Wilson, and David Hess.

WHEREAS Margaret Wilson, widow, for herself and children, purchased of Andrew Allen, two hundred and eighteen acres of land in Allen township, Northampton county, in the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy-six, at the rate of twelve dollars per acre; and whereas, the said consideration money was confiscated for the use, and paid into the treasury of the commonwealth, agreeable to an act of assembly, passed the sixth day of March, one thousand seven hundred and seventy-eight; and whereas, by sundry legal conveyances, the estate has since been vested in John Wilson, and David Hess; and whereas, the said John Wilson was, in October, one thousand eight hundred and nine, by due course of law, evicted from fifty-two acres and twenty perches of said premises, by a title paramount, in a certain Margaret Delaney, of the kingdom of Great Britain; and whereas, David Hess was on the same day, in like manner, by the title of the

said Margaret Delaney, evicted from sixty acres and ninetysix and an half perches of the premises aforesaid; and whereas, it is just and reasonable that the said John Wilson, and the said David Hess, should be indemnified for the loss they have sustained in consequence of said eviction from their property: Therefore,

SECT. I.
