Watkin Jones.

SECT. I. BE it enacted by the senate and house of representatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in general assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Voltaire Goldsmith Jones shall hereafter be known by the name of Thomas Watkin Jones, and by the same name shall be able and capable in law, to sue and be sued, grant, take, inherit, and receive, and do all other legal acts, as well in courts of justice as elsewhere, as effectually, to all intents and purposes as he could have done by his former name if no change had been made therein.

CHAPTER IX.

A SUPPLEMENT to the act, entitled "An act authorizing the governor to contract with John Bioren, for printing a certain number of copies of the laws of this commonwealth."

WHEREAS it is represented to the legislature by John Bioren, printer of the new edition of the laws of Pennsylvania, that by reason of the great space occupied by the notes, the whole of the laws contemplated to be embraced in four volumes cannot be included therein, without great inconvenience and rendering the fourth volume unreasonably large; and whereas, by an alteration of the contract, and introducing into the said work the laws ending with the present session, the public will be considerably benefited: Therefore,

SECT. I. Be it enacted by the senate and house of represen tatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in general assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That upon the condition that John Bioren shall relinquish any Contract with contract for the publication of a fifth volume of the laws of Penn- J. CHAPTER X.

A further SUPPLEMENT to the act, entitled "An act for erecting part of the counties of Berks and Northampton into a separate county.

SECT. 1. BE it enacted by the senate and house of represen tatives of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in general assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That district judg- the judges of the district elections within the counties of Berks and Schuylkill, after having formed the returns of the whole election for senators and representatives as the case may be, within each county, in such manner as is, or may be directed by law, shall on the third Tuesday in October in each year, send the same by one or more of their number, to the house now occupied by Abraham Bailey in Hamburg, in the county of Berks aforesaid, when and where the judges so met shall cast up the several county returns, and execute under their respective hands and seals, as many true returns for the whole district as may be requisite, and also transmit the same as is by law required of the return judges in other districts.

SECT. II. CHAPTER XI.

An ACT authorizing the citizens of the provisional county of Clearfield to elect county commissioners and for other purposes.

SECT. I.
