The Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Michigan convened in its forty-eighth annual convocation in the Masonic Temple in the City of Saginaw, on the nineteenth day of January, A. D. 1897, A. I. 2427, at the hour of twelve o'clock, noon.

OPENING.

The Grand Secretary reported that a constitutional number of Chapters were represented by their proper officers and representatives, whereupon the M. E. Grand High Priest, assisted by his Grand Officers, proceeded to open the Grand Chapter in AMPLE FORM, the Grand Chaplain leading the companions in prayer.

COMMITTEE ON CREDENTIALS.

The Grand High Priest appointed the following Committee on Credentials:

On motion, the Grand Chapter was then called from labor to refreshment until half past two o'clock, P. M.

The Grand Chapter resumed labor at 2:30 o'clock P. M., as per resolution.
