wheat, barley, oats, meal, or flour, which at any time or times after the paffing this act, and before the faid twenty fixth day of Auguft, one thoufand feven hundred and fixty fix, shall be fhipped at both the faid ports for the faid isle of Man as aforefaid, fhall not exceed in the whole two thousand five hundred quarters; one moiety whereof to be exported at the faid port of Southampton, and the other moiety thereof to be exported at the faid port of Exeter; any thing in the faid recited act to the contrary notwithstanding.

IX. And whereas by an act made in the last feffion of parliament, an additional duty of four fhillings was granted to his Majefty, his heirs, and fucceffors, from the fifth day of June, one thousand seven hundred and fixty five, for every chaldron of coals, Newcastle meafure, which should be shipped for exportation to any part beyond the Seas, except to Ireland, the Ifle of Man, or the British dominions Claufe for in America: and whereas it is found expedient to permit certain permitting quantities of coals to be annually exported to the islands of Jersey, certain quan- Guernsey, and Alderney, for the ufe and confumption of bis Mato be annually jefty's fubjects in the faid islands, and of the caskett lights, free of exported from the faid additional duty; be it therefore enacted by the authority Newcastle and aforefaid, That from and after the twentieth day of June, one Swansea to thousand seven hundred and fixty fix, it fhall and may be the islands of lawful to and for the inhabitants of the faid iflands refpecJersey, Guernfey, and Al- tively, to export and tranfport the feveral quantities of coals derney, with herein after-mentioned, free of the faid additional duty of four. out paying fhillings for every chaldron, out of and from the ports of Newduty impofed castle and Swanfea, in the feveral proportions, to the faid ifles by the recited of Jersey, Guernsey, and Alderney respectively, as are herein after-mentioned; fo as the perfon or perfons who shall ship fuch coals do, before the fhipping thereof, deliver unto the collector and comptroller of the customs of the faid ports of Newcastle and Swansea respectively (out of which the faid coals are to be exported) a writing under the feal or feals of the respective governors of the faid ifles of Jersey, Guernsey, and Alderney (into which the faid coals are to be tranfported) or of his or their deputy or deputies refpectively; which writing fhall exprefs the name of the party appointed to export, or cause to be exported, out of the faid ports of Newcastle and Swanfea, or one of them, fo many chaldrons of coals, expreffing the number thereof, to the fame ifle, to be used or confumed therein, or in fome of the members or parts thereof, or in the casket lights; and that fuch party fo authorized and appointed to export, or cause to be exported, fuch coals, hath, before the making and fealing of that writing, entered into fufficient bond for his Majefty's ufe, in the penalty of twenty pounds for every chaldron of fuch coals, for the due landing of the faid coals accordingly (the danger of the feas only excepted.)

X. And, to the intent that the quantity of coals to be exported out of the ports of Newcastle and Swansea aforefaid, into the said ifles, or any of them, in any one year (accounting the year to begin from the faid twentieth day of June, one thousand seven hundred and fixty

XI. XII. And whereas feveral doubts have arisen with respect to the importation of oats and oat-meal into this kingdom, under the authority of an act made in this prefent feffion of parliament, intituled, An act for allowing the importation of oats and oat-meal into this kingdom, for a limited time, duty-free; therefore, for obviating all doubts in relation thereto, be it further enacted and declared by the authority aforefaid, That by the faid act it was Oats, and intended to authorize any person or perfons whatfoever to im- oat-meal, deport into Great Britain, in any ship or vessel navigated according clared to be intended by to law, at any time or times before the twenty ninth day of September, one thousand seven hundred and fixty fix, unless a fhorter fellion, to be term shall be fixed for that purpose by any act to be paffed in this imported dufeffion of parliament, any quantity of oats or oat-meal, without ty-free. the payment of any fubfidy, cuftom, duty, or impofition whatfoever; any thing in any former or other act or acts of parliament to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithstanding.

VII. IX. And be it enacted by the authority aforefaid, That all chequer bills the exchequer bills, which fhall be made in pursuance of this intereft, and act, and the intereft, premium, rate, and charges incident to, to be paid out or attending the fame, fhall be and are hereby charged and of the finking chargeable upon, and fhall be repaid and borne by and out of, the

growing produce of the faid furpluffes, exceffes, and overplus monies, or other revenues compofing the finking fund (except fuch monies of the faid finking fund as are appropriated to any particular use or ufes by any former or other act or acts of parliament in that behalf) and fuch monies of the faid finking fund fhall and may be iffued and applied as foon as the fame can be regularly ftated and ascertained, for and towards the paying off, cancelling, and difcharging fuch exchequer bills, intereft, premium, rate, or charges, until the whole of them fhall be paid off, cancelled, and discharged, or money fufficient for that purpofe be kept and referved in the exchequer, to be payable on demand to the refpective proprietors thereof.

X. And be it declared and further enacted by the authority aforefaid, That it fhall and may be lawful for the governor and company of the bank of England to advance or lend to his Majefty in like manner at the receipt of the exchequer, upon the credit of loan granted by this act, any fum or fums of money, not exceeding in the whole the fum of one million seven hundred and ten thoufand four hundred and thirteen pounds, three fhillings, and nine pence three farthings; any thing in an act made in the fifth and fixth years of the reign of King William notwithstand. and Queen Mary, intituled, An act for granting to their Majeing act 5 & 6 flies feveral rates and duties upon tonnage of ships and veffels, and Will. & Mary. upon beer, ale, and other liquors; for fecuring certain recompences
