Projections are based on the age-grade specific attainment trends between 1957-59 and 1969-70. The projections assume decline in the proportions of the population aged 25-29 terminating their education at a given level, some further attainment by ages 30-34, and a continuation of past attainment ratios for older age cohorts. Series 1 assumes lower rates of termination than indicated by the trends from 1957-59 to 1969-70. Series 2 assumes higher rates of termination.
