the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves,and of goats, with water and scarlet-wooll, and hyffop, and fprinkled both the book and all the peo ple, faying, This is the blood of the teftament, which God hath enjoyned unto you. Moreover, he fprinkled likewife with blood both the tabernacle,and all the vef fels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the aw purged with blood; and without hedding of lood is no remiffion. It was therefore neceffary that he patterns of things in the heavens fhould be purified vith thefe; but the heavenly things themfelves with etter facrifices then thefe. For Chrift is not ent ed nto the holy places made with hands, which are the igures of the true, but into heaven it felf, now to apear in the prefence of God for us; nor yet that he hould offer himself often, as the high priest entreth ino the holy place every year with blood of others: for hen.muft he often have fuffered fince the foundation of he world but now once in the end of the world, hath eappeared to put away fin by the facrifice of himself. nd as it is apppointed unto men once to dy, but af r this the judgement: fo Chrift was once offered to ear the fins of many; and unto them that look for m, fhall he appear the fecond time without fin unto Ivation.
