Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That there shall be levied for State purposes, an annual Amount of tax tax of one mill and a half upon each dollar of the valuation affixed to all property entered on the general list for taxation, which tax shall be assessed and collected agreeably to law. Sec. 2. The auditor of State shall also, in addition to the amount of canal tax which he is required to levy by the fifth section of the act, entitled "an act to provide for the internal improvement of the State of Ohio by navigable canals," passed 4th February, 1825, to pay the sums appropriated by said act, cause to be levied and collected a sufficient amount to pay Auditor of the annual interest on school moneys funded in the treasury State to have and loaned to the canal fund, and the interest on all other sums levied and colborrowed under authority of law for the prosecution of public works. lected a sufficient amount to pay interest Sec. 3.
