January 1. Patrick Brady, lying asleep on the track at twelve o'clock at night, was run over and died in consequence. February 13. Henry Muller fell off front platform; the wheels passed over his leg injuring it severely. March 11. August Baker, a boy, running by the side of a car fell'; his foot was severely injured by the wheel of the car. March 19. Henry Gumpertson, ten years old, ran from behind a truck in front of the horses of a car; was run over and died in consequence. March 26. Thomas McCormick fell from front platform; wheel ran over his foot. April 23. Mrs. Benjamin attempting to get on a car fell and was slightly injured. June 16. Abraham Glock, eight years old, ran against the horses of a car, was knocked down, the wheels passed over him killing him instantly. June 26. Wm. McGrath jumped off a car just as it was starting from the stand, was run over, died in consequence. June 29. Augustus Smith, aged twelve years, jumped off the front platform without the knowledge of the driver; was run over and killed. July 11. Wm. B. Simon sitting in a car was struck by a passing truck, breaking his arm. August 28. Mrs. Matilda Hammond fell from a car and was slightly injured. addressed Eighth Avenue Railroad Company, corner Eighth avenue and Fiftieth street, New York. The undersigned have caused the foregoing statements to be prepared by the proper officers and agents of this company, from the books and records, and have examined them as far as practicable, and believe them to be correct.
