The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person as follows:

1869.

November 9. While making up train at Glen Cove, a brakeman had his leg broken.

1870.

February 1. George Ellis, while walking on the track, was run over by the engine of manure train at Woodside, and killed.

March 12. Mail train struck a wagon, near Jamaica, and slightly injured the driver.

March 16. Mail train struck two men on track, near Hunter's Point, killing one and slightly injuring the other.

August 13. Train on Brooklyn Central Railroad struck a man walking on track, near East New York, and killed him.

August 23. Express train going west struck a farm wagon, near Jamaica, and killed the driver.
