June 29. S. McVey, brakeman, injured; while passing from one car to another, the handle of box car gave way, throwing him on ties outside the rail, breaking collar bone in two places and dislocating his shoulder. West of Warren.

June 30. John Viele, citizen, killed; was standing on Mahoning railroad bridge, over C. C. and I. track, looking at train below; switch engine came along with coal train, and smoke from below prevented him from seeing it until too late; run over and killed. Cleveland, O.

July 6. James Connor, citizen, injured; attempted to pass between cars and was caught between drawheads. North Lewisburg.

July 11. J. Duncan, trackman, killed; fell under flat car and was run over; no inquest. Burghill.

July 20. M. L. Osterhouse, brakeman, injured; coupling cars and had thumb taken off. Grant.

July 21. W. Wilson, brakeman, injured; coupling cars and had hand jammed. Meadville yard.

July 22. William Wallace, laborer, killed; attempted to get on hand car while in motion, and was struck by lever on bridge of nose; died from injuries. Richwood.

July 29. Mrs. Daly, passenger, injured; did not get off train when it stopped, but waited until it started and then jumped off. Osborne.

August 24. James McGill, citizen, killed; walking on track

and struck by engine; was warned by whistle but did not heed it. Saegertown.

August 27. T. G. East, brakeman, injured; climbing on freight car, and step of ladder breaking, he fell on track, the cars passing over him. Dayton.

August 27. Barney Graham, coal heaver, killed; run over by engine and had both legs cut off. Leavittsburg.
