The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person as follows:

1869.

November 16. John Sullivan, brakeman, fell off a freight train, was run over, and had leg cut off and died from injuries received.

1870.

February 14. W. Le Cross, while attempting to jump on a wood train, near Port Crane, fell upon the track, was run over and killed.

March 15. Mary Johnson, while crossing a trestle bridge, near Oneonta, was run over and killed.

April 9. An extra freight train ran off the track near Slingerland's, caused by a broken rail; R. N. Hemmingway, conductor, was badly bruised on the head and arm, and Mesick, brakeman, had leg broken and was otherwise injured.

April 17. Richard Bartlett, brakeman, was injured by falling between the cars of a freight train; has fully recovered.

April 29. James Dalton, while standing on the Normanskill bridge, was struck by train No. 8 and somewhat injured.

May 18. Patrick Healey, brakeman, fell between the cars and was instantly killed, near Wells Bridge.

July 14. John Treat, while crossing the track near Worcester, was struck by a train and injured.

August 17. A boy, about twelve years old, was struck by train No. 4, near Oneonta, and seriously injured.

August 30. George N. Shute, brakeman, fell from train while shifting cars at Schenevus, and was seriously injured.

August 31. Charles Leonard, brakeman on train No. 10, was seriously injured by coming in contact with a bridge near Harpersville.

September 24. Albert Bacon, brakeman on train No. 3, was killed by being struck by a bridge near Guilderland.

The undersigned have caused the foregoing statements to be prepared by the proper officers and agents of this company, from the books and records, and have examined them as far as practicable, and believe them to be correct.

Length of main line of road from Albany to Waterford Junction

This road was leased in perpetuity to the Rensselaer and Saratoga Railroad Company, June 12th, 1860, and is operated by them.
