That the marriage contract between Reuben Hurlbut and his wife Hannah Hurlbut is hereby dissolved, and the parties to the said contract are by virtue of this act restored to all the rights and privileges of unmarried per sons. AN ACT To authorize the trustees of Plum Grove district to collect a tax to build a school house. Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives. of the Territory of Wisconsin: SECTION 1. That the trustees of Plum Grove district number three, of Cassville sehool town, be, and they are hereby authorized to make an assessment of all the taxable property in said district, and to levy upon such assessment a tax of not exceeding two hundred dollars, for the purpose of building a Said tax to be collected as other school taxes school house. are now by law collected. Johnston and Octavo Jane Johnston, be, and the same is hereby dissolved, and the said parties are hereby restored to all the rights of unmarried persons. HENRY DODGE. 6 AN ACT To repeal the sixth section of an act entitled "an act to repeal the fourth section of an act entitled an act to organize the county of St. Croix, and to legalize the acts of certain officers in said county and for other purposes.' Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin: SECTION 1. That the sixth section of the act of the legis- Section of act lative assembly of Wisconsin, entitled "an act to repeal the repealed. fourth section of an act to organize the county of St. Croix and to legalize the acts of certain officers in said county and for other purposes," approved April 10th, 1843, be, and the same is hereby repealed. SEC. 2. The clerk of the board of county commissioners of St. Croix county is hereby authorized and required to give over to the clerk of the district court for the said county, all oaths, bonds, records, or other papers which may have been filed with him, the said clerk of the board of county commissioners, in pursuance of the sixth section of the act aforesaid. Height of dam. AN ACT To authorize Elisha Morrow to build and maintain a dam across the Oconto river. Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin: SECTION 1. That Elisha Morrow, his successors and assigns, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to build and maintain a dam across the Oconto river, on lots numbers two and three, in section twenty-six, and lots numbers two and four of section thirty-five, in township number twenty-eight, north of range number twenty east, in Brown county, on any lands owned by them, at any point on said lots they may deem most suitable, and to make use of the waters of said river for hydraulic purposes. SEC. 2. Said dam shall not exceed seven feet in height above high water mark, and in some suitable place in said dam, there shall be a good and sufficient slide that will admit the passage of all such rafts, crafts, or boats, as may navigate the said river. SEC. 3. The said dam and the owners thereof, shall be subject to all the provisions of an act entitled "an act in relation to mills and mill dams," approved January 13, 1840. TIMOTHY BURNS.
