To repeal an act entitled "An act to incorporate
the village of Prairieville,” approved February 3d, 1846, and also all the acts amendatory thereto.
Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin :
Section 1.' That the act entitled "An act to incorporate the village of Prairieville," approved February 30, 1816; also so much of an act entitled “ Ån act to amend an act entitled 'An act to incorporate the village of Prairieville, (now Waukesha,) and for other purposes,'" approved February 3d, 1917, as relates to said incorporation, be and the same is
" hereby repealed.

To make an appropriation for bringing the body
of the late Captain Augustus Quarles to this territory for interment.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives. of the Territory of Wisconsin:.
Section 1. That whenever, it shall appear to apy justice. Where and of the peace, or other examining court orroffkeer in this terri. how prisoners.
shall be kept tory, at the time of commitment, in any criminal case, that there is no jail in the county in which the offence was committed, suitable for the confinement and safe keeping of such person or persons, as by brim may be committed, such.justice or other exomining court or officer, may commit such person, or persons to the next nearest jail suitable to that purpose, in any county of this lerritory, and make his warrant of commitment accordingly, and it shall be the duty of the keeper of the common jail to whom, such warrant of commitment shall be directed to receive and safely keep thie-person or persons so committed, unless the jail of which he is keeper is otherwise full in the same manner as is provided for by law in other (other) cases, and the expense of keeping, taking care of, and supporting such person or persons, shall be paid by the county in which the commitment emanated. Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Visconsin:
SECTION 1, That the nortb half of township number two, norili of range number thirteen east, and all of lownship num. ber three, north of range thirteen east, in the county of Rock, shall constitute a separate town, and shall be known by the name of Harmony, and the first toivn meeting shall be lield at the Harmony school house, near Mt. Zion.
Sec. 2. Thai township eleven north of range seventeen eas:, in the county of Dodge, shall constitute a separate town, and shall be known by the name of Harman, and the next elce lion shall be held at the house of Willis Cole. !! Sec. 3. That the name of The town of Warren, in the connty of Waukesha be, and the same is hereby changed to
Merton, and by that name the said town sball hereafter be benown'and designated.' 1.,!!! to
Sec. 4. That the town of Clarkson, is the county of Dane, Dane. be, and hereafter shall be known by the rame of Dane, and the next election in said town shall be held at the house of William Dunlap.
Sec. 5. That township nine, north of range number four-Shields. teen east, in Dodge county, shall constitute a separate town, and shall be known by the name of Shields, and the next election shall be held at the house of Michael Egan.
Sec. 6, That township number nine, range eleven, in the county of Dane be, and the same is hereby organized into a separate lown for township purposes, and shall hereafter be governed by the laws now in force in this territory for town Bristol. and county government, and shall be known as the town of Bristol, and the first election in said town shall be held at the house of George C. Smith.
See. 7. That no tax shall be levied or collected on any No tax to be chattel property belonging to any citizen of said town, any levied. law now in force in relation to laxing personal property in the town of Sun Prairie, in said county, do the contrary not. withstanding.
Sec. 8. Township six, north of range eleven cast, in the Pleasant county of Dane, shall constitute a separate town, and shall Springs be known by the name of Pleasant Spring, and the next election shall be held at the house of Morgan L. Curtis. Sec. 9. That township seven north, of range eight east,
Middletown, in the county of Dane, shall constitute a separate town, and shall be known by the name of Middleton, and the first eleciion shall be held at the Junction House. Sec. 10. That the name of the town of Clarence, in the Name
