declared duly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, for the regular session of the Nineteenth General Assembly.

On Motion of Mr. Parsons:

A committee consisting of Messrs. Parsons, Brown, and Reid of Jackson, was appointed by the Chair, to inform Mr. Harrison of his election, and conduct him to the chair.

The oath of office then being administered, by the Hon. Mr. Cordell, to Mr. Harrison, the Speaker elect entered upon the discharge of his

duties.
