An Act to amend an act entitled "An Act to incorporate the Winnebago Lake and
Fox river road company," approved March 13th, 1818.

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The board of directors and stockholders organized under the act of which this is amendatory, are hereby auStock may be thorized to increase the capital stock of said company not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars, for the construction of a branch, extending to the Wolf river, to commence at such point on the Winnebago lake and Fox river road, and terminate at such point on the Wolf or Wisconsin rivers as said company may judge best.

Conditions.

SEC. 2.

When five hundred shares shall be subscribed for the construction of the Wolf river branch road and one dollar paid in on each share, the said company shall be empowered to act, and are hereby authorized to construct said branch under the same regulations, liabilities, restrictions and privileges as are specified in the act to which this is amendatory.

SEC. 3. Said company is hereby authorized to keep separate books for the Wolf river branch road, and to declare dividends, and all stock issued for the same shall be the stock of the Wolf river branch of the Winnebago lake and Fox river road, and they may have and are hereby authorized to create Separate organ- at their discretion a separate board of directors, and to have a President, Secretary and Treasurer for the said branch to be created by the stockholders in said branch, on the same conditions as provided for the creation of the board in the act of which this is amendatory. An Act to amend the act authorising the laying out of a State Road from Sheboygan to Madison.

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. That section one of chapter one hundred and nine of the session laws of eighteen hundred and fifty be and the same is hereby amended so as to include the names S. I. Warren, E. M. An Act to appropriate to the County of Racine the sum of money therein named.

Chap. 74. The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the County of Racine, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropria ted the sum of three hundred and eighteen dollars and forty cents in full payment and satisfaction for maintenance and support of Sylvester S. Farmlee and William Sellers, State prisoners confined in Racine County Jail, and for clothing, medicine and medicaal attendnce for said prisoners and for Thomas Fanning up to the time of the pardon of said prisoners.

An Act to set apart and incorporate the County of Waushara.

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. That all that section of country lying and being within the following described boundaries, to wit: Commencing at the south-east corner of township eighteen (18) of range thirteen (13) east, running thence north on the range line to the north-east corner of township twenty (20), thence west on the north line of township twenty (20), to the range line dividing ranges seven (7) and eight (8), thence south on said line to the south-west corner of township eighteen (18), thence east on said line to the place of beginning, shall be and is hereby set apart and incorporated as the county of Waushara, and the county seat of said county is hereby temporarily located at the village of Sacremento.

SEC. 2. It shall be lawful for the legal voters at the next

annual general election, to elect such county officers as other County Officers. organised counties are required by law to elect.

SEC. 3. The said county shall be hereby organised into one town, and shall be called the town of Waushara; and the

legal voters of said town are hereby authorised at the next an- Town Meeting. nual town meeting, to elect such town officers as they are re

quired by law to elect..

SEC. 4. The first town meeting shall be held at the house of Cyrus Langworthy, in the village of Sacremento.

SEC. 5. Said county shall for the time being, be attached

to Marquette county for judicial purposes.

SEC. 6. Said county shall pay to the county of Marquette Judicial Expenannually, the expenses said county of Marquette may incur in see. the transaction of the judicial business of said county of Wau

An Act to incorporate the county of Wanpacca.

The People of the State of Wisconsin represented in Senate and Assembly do enact as follows :

Chap. 78.

SECTION 1. That all that section of country lying and being within the following described boundaries, to wit: Beginning at the north line of towns numbered twenty, at a point where Boundaries. the range line between ranges fourteen and fifteen crosses said line, thence north to the north line of towns twenty-four; thence east to Wolf river; thence up the channel of said river to the north line of towns twenty-five; thence west to the line dividing ranges ten and eleven; thence south to to the north line of towns twenty; thence east to the first mentioned point: shall be and is hereby set apart and shall constitute a county with all the rights and privileges of other counties and shall be known by the name of Wanpacca county, and shall be for the time being attached to the county of Winnebago, for judicial purposes.

SEC. 2. The county seat of said county shall be temporori-County Seat ly established at the village of Mukwa, and two years from the next annual election the voters of said county shall vote for the permanent location of the county seat, and that place receiving a majority of all the votes cast shall be the county seat of said county.

ty will be entitled, shall be held at the tavern of H. Rolph, in the village of Mukwa, on the first Tuesday of April next, and all officers elected thereat shall hold their several offices until the first day of January next ensuing, and until their successors are duly elected and qualified.

SEC. 4. Said county shall constitute one town, and for all town purposes, shall be known as the town of Wanpacca, and under such name shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges heretofore granted by law to other organized towns; and the first election for town officers shall be held at the tavern of the aforesaid H. Rolph, in the village of Mukwa, on the first Town Elections. Tuesday of April next, and shall hold their offices for the term of 12 months thereafter, and until their successors are duly elected and qualified: there shall also be elected in said town, at the election herein named, a Town Clerk, Treasurer, and Assessors, who shall hold their said offices for the term of twelve months, and until their successors are duly elected and qualfied: said town Supervisors herein provided for shall hold their meetings at the tavern of the aforesaid H. Rolph, in the village of Mukwa, until otherwise provided by law.

SEC. 5. That the county of Wanpacca shall pay unto the Treasurer of Winnebago, all costs, fees, charges and expenses that shall be paid by the county of Winnebago that may accrue in consequence of any prosecution, conviction, imprisonment, or preceeding whatever against any person charged with any Judicial Expen- crime or misdemeanor within said County of Wanpacca; and the Supervisors of the County of Winnebago may sue and collect the same from said County of Wanpacca in any court of competent jurisdiction.

An Act to extend the corporate limits of the city, of Kenosha.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in Senat: and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. All of the south-west quarter of the north-eas quarter of section number six, in township number one north c range number twenty-three east, in the county of Kenosha and State of Wisconsin, is hereby detached from the town of South Fort, in said county, and annexed to the city of Kenosha, and the same shall hereafter constitute a part of the corporate limits
