Here lies HENRY, The Scourge of France, 1422.

Here, great, and good, Duke HENRY buried lies;
O'er their dead Founder these proud Arches rife :
His pious Confort, too, (the Poor's fafe Guide)
Mix'd with his Duft, clings closer to his Side;
MATILDA, Daughter to great England's King!
Whofe Virtues, fpite of Death, ftill bloom in Spring.

King Oтно, too, their Son, here fhares their Reft ;-
By both fond Parents Arms, again poffefs'd.

And, here, O! Grief of Beauty! near him lies, -
The Charmer of his Heart, and all Mens Eyes!
That lovely Form, whofe Smiles inflam'd Defire,
Here, Food for Worms, can no foft Woes infpire. -

As he was here famous in War,
And the Darling of Englishmen,

Pray devoutly for the Soul, whom God afsoile,
Of One of the moft Worfhipful Knights in his Daies,
Of Manhood and Cunning,

RICHARD BEAUCHAMPE, late Earl of Warwick,
Lord Difpenfer of 'Bergavenny,
And of many other great Lordships,
Whofe Body refteth here under this Tomb,,
In a full fair Vault of Stone
Set in the bare Rocke.

The which, vifited with long Sickness
In the Castle of Rohan,

Therein deceased full Christianly,
The last Day of April, in the Year
Of our Lord God. 1439,
Being, at that Time,
Lieutenant-General of France,

And of the Dutchy of Normandie,
By fufficient Authority of our Soveraign
Lord HENRY the Sixth.

The which Body, by great Deliberation,
And worshipful Conduct, by Sea and by Land,
Was brought to Warwick,

The fourth of October, the Year abovesaid,
And was laid with full folemne Exequies
In a fair Chest made of Stone,
Afore the Weft-Dore of this Chappell,
According to his last Will and Testament,.

Therein to rest 'till this Chappell,

By him devised in his Life-time, were made.

The which Chappell, founded on the Rocke,

And all the Members thereof,

His Executors did fully make and apparail, By the Authority of his faid last Will and Teftament. And thereafter, by the faid Authority, They did tranflate Worfhipfully The said Body into the Vault aforesaid. Honoured be GoD therefore. [St. Mary's, Warwick.]

Which Countess passed from this World.
