CHAPTER 1.

AN ACT to amend chapter one hundred and twenty-three of the general laws of 1877, entitled "an act to revise, consolidate and amend the charter of the city of Oshkosh, the act incorporating the city, and the several acts amendatory there

of."

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 3. Immediately after the passage of this common counact the common council shall elect an overseer of the cil annually to poor, who shall hold his office until the next annual election of city officers; and thereafter, and at each annual election of city officers, the common council shall elect with other officers, an overseer of the poor, who shall hold his office for one year, subject to removal by the council.
