retary of State of the United States, be deposited in the office of the Treasurer of this State, who is hereby directed to receive and preserve the same.

The House proceeded in the order of the day upon the bill entitled "An act relating to primary schools."

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Parker of Fitzwilliam offered an amendment to said bill.

Mr. Warner, from the committee of conference on the part of the House to confer with the Hon. Senate upon the disagreement of the Houses to the amendment made by the Senate to the bill entitled "An act incorporating the proprietors of the Colebrook Bridge," reported that the committee could not agree with the committee on the part of the Hon. Senate.

Whereupon

Resolved, that the House adhere to their disagreement to said amendment.

Ordered, that the Clerk inform the Senate thereof.

Mr. Swasey gave notice that he will on Monday next ask leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act relating to the White River Falls Company and to establish the rates of toll of the same."

Mr. Jenness of Portsmouth gave notice that he will on Monday next ask leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to alter the name of the First Baptist Society in Portsmouth."

Mr. Warner gave notice that he will on Monday next ask leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act in amendment of an act entitled an act establishing the times and places of holding the Courts of Probate in the county of Coos."

Mr. Cox gave notice that he will on Monday next ask leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act in addition to and in amendment of an act entitled an act for the support and regulation of primary schools, passed Jan. 4th, 1833."

Mr. Moore of Milford gave notice that he will on Monday next ask leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act for the encouragement of Agriculture."

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled "An act relating to banking and other private corporations.”

Mr. Ela of Meredith moved that the bill and amendment be
referred to a select committee consisting of one from each county.
Mr. Stickney moved that the bill lie on the table.

It was decided in the affirmative.
So said bill was laid on the table.

Mr. Baker of Hillsborough submitted the following resolution: Resolved, that the committee on Elections to whom was referred the memorial of Robert Wallace, be discharged from the fur ther consideration of the same, and that the chairman of said committee notify the memorialist thereof, by furnishing him a copy of this resolution.

A message from the Senate by their Clerk :

Mr. Speaker-The Senate concur with the House of Representatives in the passage of a bill entitled "An act in addition to the several acts relating to the assessment and collection of taxes. Mr. Little of Boscawen submitted the following resolution: Resolved, that when the House adjourn this forenoon, they adjourn to meet again on Monday next at three o'clock in the after

noon.

Mr. Lawrence moved that the resolution be amended by striking out the words 'at three o'clock in the afternoon."

Which amendment was accepted by the mover.

Mr. Hoskins moved that the resolution be further amended by striking out all after the word 'Resolved' and inserting instead thereof the words 'that the House now adjourn.'
