So the bill was indefinitely postponed.

A message from the Senate by their Clerk:

"Mr. Speaker-The Senate have passed a bill entitled "An act in amendment of the laws now in force relative to fees of trustees of debtors in actions before Justices of the Peace, and for other purposes," in which they ask the concurrence of the House.

The House proceeded to the consideration of the foregoing bill which came down from the Hon. Senate.

On motion of Mr. Hill of Northwood

Resolved, that the Secretary of State be requested to lay before this House for the use of the select committee to make a new apportionment of the public taxes, the inventories returned in the year 1836 now on file in his office.

Mr. Harmon submitted the following resolution:

Resolved, that the diffusion of information and arraignment of all abuses at the bar of public reason, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, and freedom of person, are principles guarantied to the people in the constitutions of our country, and cannot legitimately be restricted or abridged.

Mr. Hoskins moved that the resolution lie on the table.
And the question being put,

Mr. Harmon called for the ayes and noes.

So the resolution was laid on the table.

Pursuant to previous notice and by leave,

Mr. Dearborn introduced a bill entitled "Ap act in addition to an act entitled an act relating to Banks and Banking and to establish Bank Commissioners for the State of New Hampshire." Which was read a first and second time.

On motion of Mr. Dearborn

Ordered, that it be referred to the committee on Banks.

Agreeably to a resolution of the House, Mr. Wells introduced a bill entitled “An act to prevent the obstruction of John's River." Which was read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Warner

Ordered, that it lie on the table.

Mr. Quincy from the select committee consisting of the delegation from the county of Grafton, to whom was referred a bill entitled "An act altering the places and establishing the times and places for holding the Courts of Probate in the county of Grafton," by leave reported the same without amendment.

Ordered, that said bill be read a third time to-morrow afternoon at three o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Parker of Fitzwilliam

The House resumed the consideration of the bill entitled “An act in addition to an act entitled an act for the support and regulation of primary schools, passed July 6, 1827."

Ordered, that said bill be read a second time to-morrow forenoon at eleven o'clock.

Mr. Warner submitted the following resolutions:

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives in Gener al Court convened, that the resolution of July 2d, 1831, directing the Secretary of State to deposite in the Secretary's office, annually, five printed copies of the Journals of each House, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

And be it further resolved, That His Excellency the Governor, be, and he is hereby authorized and empowered to employ some suitable person or persons to make fair and legible copies of the
