THE PRESIDENT.-Ladies and Gentlemen: I wish to express my own gratification, and that of the Association, at the presence of ladies here this morning, and to assure them they are welcome, and to invite them to continue to grace the meetings of the Association with their presence.

The President then delivered his annual address. (See Appendix.)

Mr. Colyar.-Mr. President: I fail to see on the programme any authority for discussing that paper. I do not want to discuss it, but, with your permission, I want to ask leave to have corrected a paragraph in the paper I consider an error. I understand that paper to say that our judges are in the habit, when a cause comes into court, of classing infants, females, and fools together.
