CHAPITRE V. Sermon sur la Montagné. Ésus voyant tout ce peuple,monta sur une montagne; et s'étant assis, ses Disciples s'approchérent de lui. 2. Et ouvrant sa bouche, il les enseignoit, en disant : 3. Heureux les pauvres en esprit; carleRoyaume des cieux est à eux. 4. Heureux ceux qui pleurent; car ils seront consolés. 5. Heureux les débonnaires; car ils hériteront la terre. 6. Heureux ceux qui sont affamés et altérés de la justice; car ils seront rassasiés. 7. Heureux les miséricordieux; car ils obtiendront miséricorde. 8. Heureux ceux qui ont le cœur pur; car ils verront Dieu. 9. Heureux ceux qui procurent la paix; car ils seront appelés enfaus de Dieu. 10. Heureux ceux qui sont persécutés pour la justice; car le Royaume des cieux est à eux. 11. Vous serez heureux, lorsqu'à cause de moi on vous dira des injures, qu'on vous persécutera, et qu'on dira faussement contre vous toute sorte de mal. 12. Réjouissez-vous alors, et tressaillez de joie, parce que votre récompense sera grande dans les cieux; car on a ainsi persécuté les Prophètes qui ont été avant vous. 24. Mais malheur à vous, riches; parce que vous avez déjà reçu votre consolation. 25. Malheur à vous faim. Malheur à vous, qui riez Jorsque 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peace-makers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake for their's is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessedare ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake, 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. 24 But woe unto your that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. are L.6. 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Vous êtes la lumière du mon de: Une ville située sur une moutagne ne peut être cacrée. 13 Ye are the salt of the earth m but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted: it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill can not be hid. 15 Οὐδὲ καίει σὶ λύχνον, και τι θέασιν αὐτὸν ὑπὸ τὸν μόδιον, ἀλλ' ἐπὶ τὴν λιχρίων, και λάμπει πᾶσι τοῖς ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ. 16 Οὕτω λαπλάτω τὸ φῶς ὑμῶν ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθ, ώπων, όπως ἴδωσιν ὑμῶν τὰ καλὰ ἔργα, καὶ δο ξάσωσι τὸν πατέρα ὑμῶν τὸν ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς. 17 Μὴ νομίσητε ὅτι ἦλθον και α λῦσαι τὸν νόμον, ἡ τὰς προφήτας ἐκ ἦλθον καταλῦσαι, άλλα πληρώσαι. 18 - Αμὴν γὰς λέγω ὑμῖν, ἕως ἂν παρέλθῃ ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ γῆ, † ἰῶτα + εν + η μία + κεραία οὐ μὴ Η παρέλθη ἀπὸ τοῦ † νόμου, ἕως ἀνπάντα γένηται. 19 Ὃς ἐὰν οὖν λύση μίαν τῶν ἐντολῶν τούτων τῶν ἐλαχίσων, κ] διδάξη οὕτω τοὺς ἀνθρώπους, ἐλαχι; Ο κληθήσεται ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τῶν οὐρανῶν· ὃς δ ̓ ἐν ποιήσῃ καὶ δι 4 δάξη οτε μέγας κληθήσεται ἔν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τῶν οὐρανῶν. 20. Λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν, ὅτι ἐὰν μὴ περισσεύσῃ ἡ δικαιοσύνη ὑμῶν πλεῖον τῶν Γραμματέων και Φαρι σαίων, οὐ μὴ εἰσέλθητε εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τῶν οὐρανῶν. 21 Ἠκούσατε ὅτι ἐῤῥέθη τοῖς αρχαίοις· Οὐ φονεύσεις· ὃς δ ̓ ἂν φονεύση, ἔνοχο ἔςαι τῇ κρίσει. 22 'Εγω δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅτι πᾶς ὁ † ὀργιζόμενον τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ 1 εἰκῇ, ἔνοχος ἔσαι τῇ κρίσει· ὃς δ ̓ ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ Η ρακα ἔνοχο ἔσαι τῷ συνεδείῳ· ὃς δ' αν εἴπῃ ἡ μωρέ, † ἔνοχος εται εἰς τῆς ἢ γέενναν τοῦ † πυρός. 23 Εανοῦν προσφέρης του δωρόντων ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιατήριον, κακεῖ μνησθῆς, ὅτι ὁ ἀδελφός σε ἔχει τὶ κατὰ σοῦ, 24 Αφε: ἐκεῖ τὸ δῶρον σου ἔμ προσθεν τοῦ θυσιατηρίου, και ύπαγε, πρῶτον † διαλλάγηθι τῷ ἀδελφῶ σου, καὶ τότε ἐλθὼν πρόσφερε το Η θως ν σου. 15 Neque accendunt lucernam, & ponunt eam fub.me dio, fed fuper candelabrum, & lucet oumibus in domo. 16 Sic luceat lux veftra coram hominibus, ut videant veftra pulchra opera, & glorificent Patrem veftrum qui in calis. 17 Ne putetis quod veni diffolvere legem, aut Prophetas; non veni diffolvere, fed adimplere. 18 Amen quippe dico vobis, donec pratereat calum & terra, jota unum, aut unus apex non præteribit à lege, donec omnia fiant. 19 Qui ergo folverit unum mandatorum iftorum minimorum, & docuerit fic homines, minimus vocabitur in regno calorum : qui autem fecerit & docuerit, hic magnus vocabitur in regno celorum 2o Dico enim vobis, quod ft non abundaverit juftitia vefira. plus Scribarum & Pharifeorum; non intrabitis in regnum calo rum. 21 Audiftis quia pronuncia tum eft antiquis: Non occides: qui autem occiderit, obnoxius erit judicio, 22 Ego autem dico vobis, quia omnis irafcens fratri fuo mane rito, obnoxius erit judicio : qui autem dixerit fratri fuo Raca, obnoxius erit confefui : qui autem dixerit fatue, obnoxius erit in gehennam ignis. 23 Si ergo offers munus tuum ad altare, & ibi recordatus fuc ris, quia frater tuus habet aliquid adverfum te, 24 Relinque ibi munus tuum ante altare, & vade, prius reconciliare fratri tuo, & tunc veniens offer munus fuum. 17. Ne pensez point que je sois venu abolir la Loi ou les Prophe tes ; je suis venu, non pour les a 3 bolir, mais pour les accomplir. 18. Car je vous dis en vérite, que jusqu'à ce que le ciel et la terre passent, il n'y aura rien dans la Loi qui ne s'accomplisse, jusqu'à un seul iota, et à un seul trait de ettre. 19. Celui donc qui aura violé Pun de ces plus petits commandemens, et qui atura ainsi enseigné les hom mes, sera estimé le plus petit dans le Royaume des cieux; mais celui qui les aura observés et enseignés, celui sera estimé graud dans le Royaume des cieux. 20. Carje vous dis, que si votre justice ne surpasse celle des Scribes et des Pharisiens, vous n'en trerez point dans le Royaume des cieux. 21. Vous avez entendu qu'il a été dit aux Anciens Tu ne tueras point; et celui qui tuera sera punissable par les Juges. 22. Mais moi, je vous dis, que quiconque se met en colère contre son frère, sans cause, sera puni par les Juges; et celui qui dira à son frère, Racha, sera puni par le Conseil; et celui qui lui dira, Fou, sera punissable par la géhenne du fen. 15 Neither do men light a can- M.s. dle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of these least com. mandments and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and, whosoever shall kill, shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be in danger of the judgment: and 23. Laisse là ton offrande devant say, Thou ool, shall be in danger l'autel, et va-t-en premièrement te of hell fire. réconcilier avec ton frère; et, après cela, viens et offre ton offrande. 23 Therefore, if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. • 25 Ισθι + εὐτῶν τῷ ἡ ἀντιδικώ σου Η ταχύ. ἕως ὅπου εἶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ μετ ̓ αὐτοῦ μήποτέ σε παραδώ αντίδικον τῷ ἑ κριτῇ, καὶ ὁ κριτές σε παραδῶ τῷ ὑπηρέτη, και εἰς φυλακὴν βληθήση. 20 'Αμὴν λέγω σιν, ου μὴ ἐξ ἐλέης ἐκεῖθεν ἕως ἂν ἀποδῷς των ἔσχατον κολάντην. 27 Ἠκούσατε ὅτι ἐῤῥίθη τοῖς ἀρχαίοις οὐ μοιχεύσεις 28 Ἐγὼ δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅτι πᾶς ὁ βλέπων γυναῖκα πρὸς τὸ ἐπιθυμῆσαι αὐτῆς, ἤδη ἐμοίχευσεν αν τὴν ἐν τῇ καρδία αὐτοῦ. 29 Εἰ δὲ ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ὁ δε ξιός στα δαλίζει σε, ἔξελε αὐτὸν, καὶ βάλε ἀπὸ σοῦ συμφέρει γάς σοι, ένα ἀπόληται ἐν τῶν μελῶν σου, και μή ὅλον τὸ σῶμα σου βληθῆ εἰς για Είναι. 30 Καὶ εἰ ἡ δεξιά σου χείς σκαν. δαλίζει σε, έκκοψον αὐτήν, καὶ βάλε απὸ σοῦ συμφέξει γας σου, ἵνα επόληται ἐν τῶν μελῶν σου, καὶ μὴ ὅλον τὸ σῶμά σου βληθῇ εἰς για Εναν 31 Εβρέθη δὲ ὅτι ὃς ἂν ἀπολύσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, δότω αὐτῇ απαράσιον 32. Ἐγὼ δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅτι ὃς ἂν ἀπολύσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, παρεκτός λόγου πορνείας, ποιεῖ αὐτὴν κοιμάσθαι και αν απολελυμένην μιμήσῃ, μαχάται. 33 Πάλιν ηκούσα τε ὅτι ἡ ὀργέ 3η τοῖς ἡ αρχαίοις οὐκ ή έπιος τήσεις, ἀποδώσεις δὲ τῷ Κυρίῳ τοὺς ὅρκους του. 34 Εγώ δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, μὴ ὁμός καὶ ὅλως μήτε ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, ὅτι γείνθ ἐπὶ τοῦ σπου 35 Μήτε ἐν τῇ γῇ, ὅτι ὑποσό δέν ες τῶν ποδῶν αὐτοῦ· μήτε εἰς 25 Efto benefentiens adverfario tuo cito, dum es in via cum co: ne forte te tradat adverfarius υλici & judex te tradat manife tro; & in cuftodian conjiciaris. 26 Amen dico tibi, non exies inde, donec reddas noviflimum quadrantem. 27 Audittis quia pronundatum eft antiquis: Non maxhaberis, 28 Ego autem dico vobis, quia omnis confpiciens mulierem ad concupifcendum carn, jam machatus eft cam in corde fuo, 29 Si autem oculus tuus dexter fandalizat te, crue cum, & projice abs te : confert enim tibi ut pereat unum membrorum tuorum, & non totum corpus tuum conjiciatur in gehennam. 30 Et fi dextera tua manus fcandalizat te, ahfcinde cam, & μτojice abere : confert enim tibi ut percat unum membrorum taorum, & non totum corpus tuum conjiciatur in gehennam. 34 Pronunciatum eft autem, quod quicumque abfolverit uxorem fuam, det ei repudium. 32 Ego autem dico vobis, quia quicunque abfolverit uxorem fuam, excepta rationc fornicationis, facit eam machari : & qui abfolutam duxerit, adulterat. 33 Iterum audiftis quia pronunciatum eft antiquis: Non perjurabis: reddes autem Domino juramenta tua. 34 Ego autem dico vobis, nn jurare omnius, neque in cielo, quia thronus eft Dei: 35 Neque in terra, quia fcaὑellam eft pedum cjus : neque 25. Accorde toi au plutôt avec ta partie adverse, pendant que tu es en chemin avec elle, de peur que ta partie adverse ne te livre au Juge, et que le Juge ne te livre au Sergent, et que tu ne sois mis en prison. 26. Je te dis en vérité, que tu ne sortiras pas de là, jusqu'à ce que tu aies payé le dernier quadrain. 27. Vous avez entendu qu'il a été dit aux Anciens: Tu ne commettras point adultère. 28. Mais moi, je vous dis, qne quiconque regarde une femme pour la convoiter, il a déjà commis l'adultère avec elle dans son cœur. 29. Que si ton ceil droit te fait tomber dans le péché, arrache-le, gjette-le loin de toi; car il vaut mieux pour toi qu'un de tes mem bres périsse, que si tout ton corps étoit jeté dans la géheune. 30. Et si ta main droite te fait tomber dans le péché, conpe-la, et jette-la loin de toi; car il vaut mieux pour toi qu'un de tes membres périsse, que si tout ton corps étoit jeté dans la géhenne. 51.11a été dit aussi: Si quelqu'un répudie sa femme, qu'il lui donne la lettre de divorce.. 32. Mais moi, je vous dis, que quiconque répudiera sa femme, si ce n'est pour cause d'adultère, il l'expose à devenir adultère; et que quiconque se mariera à la femme qui aura été répudiée, commet un adultère. 33. Vous avez encome entendu qu'il a été dit aux Anciens: Tu ne te parjureras point; mais tu t'acquitteras envers le Seigneur de ce que tu auras promis avec serment. 34. Mais moi, je vous dis: Ne ju rez point du tout; ni par le ciel, 35. Ni par la terre, car c'est son car c'est le trône de Dieu : 25 Agree with thine adversary .5. quickly, whilst thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. 27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman. to lust after her, hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. thee, pluck it out, and cast it from 29 And if thy right eye offend thee for it is profitable for thee, that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee, that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife. let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced, committeth adultery. 33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all: neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his |
