BROTHERS, Department Adjutant, and OFFICIAL REPORT OF THE TWENTIETH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT DEPARTMENT OF MASSACHUSETTS LAWRENCE, MASSACHUSETTS, APRIL 25, 26, 27, 1919 Department Headquarters was established at Hotel Essex, Friday, April 25, at 1 P.M., for the registering of delegates and issuance of credentials. On Friday evening, April 25, at 8 P.M., the annual concert and ball and reception of delegates was held at the State armory, Lawrence, Mass. FIRST SESSION, SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 1919. The Twentieth Annual Encampment of the Department of Massachusetts, United Spanish War Veterans, opened in the State armory, Lawrence, Mass., in compliance with General Orders No. 6 of the Department of Massachusetts, and was duly called to order at 10.30 A.M. by Department Commander Timothy W. Kelly. The assembly was sounded by Department Musician John J. Hillegass, and the colors were escorted to the platform by Department Color Bearers Comrades Everard Whittemore and Louis Nordstrom. Prayer was offered by Department Chaplain Rev. William F. Dusseault. At this time the Department Marshal, Comrade Abner B. Jubrey, escorted to the platform His Honor John J. Hurley, Mayor of Lawrence. Department Commander Timothy W.
