COMMON COUNCIL At a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Battle Creek, held at the Common Council rooms in said city, on the 22nd day of April, A. D. 1907, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: "Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Battle Creek, That the Committee on Ordinances and Judiciary, with the assistance of the City Attorney and the City Recorder, prepare a new compilation of the City Charter and Ordinances for publication." Also, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on the 20th day of July, A. D. 1908, the following report was submitted: "The City Attorney, City Recorder and Committee on Ordinances and Judiciary, to whom was referred the matter of preparing a compilation of the charter and ordinances of the City of Battle Creek, beg leave to report that they have prepared a compilation of the charter of the city, including all amendments to the same down to and including the last meeting of the Legislature, and have also prepared a compilation of all of the ordinances passed by the Common Council to and including the thirteenth day of July, 1908, and now in force; which compilation is herewith submitted to the Common Council." EDWARD H. DECKER, City Attorney, And thereupon the following resolution was unanimously adopted: "Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Battle Creek, That the Recorder secure sealed bids from as many reliable printing concerns as possible for the publication of five hundred copies of the new compilation of the charter and ordinances, submitted to the Council at this meeting, two hundred copies to be bound in cloth and three hundred copies to be bound in paper. Bids to close in four weeks from July 20, 1908."' At a meeting held on the twenty-first day of September, A. D. 1908, the bid of the Gage Printing Company, Limited, was accepted. I, Thos. H. Thorne, Recorder of the City of Battle Creek, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of resolutions adopted by the Common Council of said city and of proceedings pursuant thereto at regular meetings thereof, held on the dates above set forth.
