CHAP. XLIII.

An Act making provision for the support of government for the year One thousand eight hundred.

SECTION 1.

B

E it enacted by the Senate and House Ten thousand of Representatives of the State of five hundred Delaware, in General Assemby met, That the sum of raised and paid ten thousand five hundred dollars shall be raised into the trea and paid into the treasury of this State, within the sury. time, and in the manner, directed by an act of the general Assembly, entitled, "An act for the better ordering, assessing, levying and collecting of taxes, and making provision for the support of government, for the year of our Lord, One thousand seven hundred and ninety-eight," passed the twentyfourth day of January in the said year; and shall be assessed and levied in the several counties in this State, in the following proportions; that is to say, for the county of New-Castle, the sum of four Each county's thousand dollars; for the county of Kent, the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars; and for the county of Sussex, the sum of three thousand dollars.

SECT. 2. daily allowance to the members of the General assembly, their clerks, and other expences, and for printing the laws passed at this session of the General assembly, and the votes and proceedings of the two branches thereof; and the residue, if any there be, shall be applied to the payment of any sums of money due to the citizens of this State, for which provision shall hereaf ter be made by law.

CHAP. XLIV.

An ACT to authorise the owners and possessors of the Swamp and low grounds, commonly called and known by the name of the Black Swamp, situated (partly) in the Forest of Murderkill and Mispillion Hundreds, in the County of Kent and State of Delaware, to cut a ditch, or drain through the Private act..

An ACT to authorise the owners and possessors of the Marsh or low ground commonly called and known by the name of Colbreath's Marsh, situate in the Forest of Murderkill Hundred, in Kent County, to cut a ditch or drain through the same.
