UPON the following pages will be found printed, under the direction of the Joint Committee on Printing, and in pursuance of Orders of the City Council, dated the 9th and 16th of December last, and the 5th instant, respectively, an Act of the Legislature of Massachusetts, approved April 22d, 1857, being the last amendment of the City Charter; all Ordinances passed by the City Council since the Revision of the Ordinances in December, 1856; the Rules and Orders of the Common Council; the Committees of the City Council, as now constituted; and a list of the Municipal Officers for the current year. The Statute of 1857, ch. 266, concerning "Vacancies in School Committees," has also been printed, inasmuch as it modifies Section 23 of the City Charter, and Section 8 of the Amendment of the same, passed by the Legislature of 1853.
