Issued Semi-Quarterly and sent to subscribers on or about the following dates: January 31, March 15, May 1, June 15, August 1, September 15, November 1, December 15.

Manuscripts for publication should be sent to the Editor, ALAN M. BATEMAN, at Yale University, Yale Station, New Haven, Conn. It is requested that contributors exercise care in writing scientific and proper names. References to other publications should be in accordance with the forms used in the pages of this journal. The manuscript should be typewritten with double space lines. Galley proof will be sent authors only where a request to this effect accompanies the manuscript, or when in the editor's opinion, the subject matter is such as will require correction by the author.

Reviews should likewise be written to conform in arrangement to those which appear in this journal and should be signed by the full name of the reviewer.

Books and Pamphlets for review should be sent to Chairman of the Committee on Reviews. Reprints. Contributors desiring reprints of their papers may obtain them by filling out the order slip which will be attached to the galley proof when it is sent to the author. Provided the order slip is received by the editor, with the return of the proof, 50 reprints without covers will be furnished without charge. Reprints of discussions and informal communications are not furnished free of charge except when they exceed four pages in length when 50 will be supplied without charge. Reprints of reviews are not supplied. Additional reprints will be furnished at approximately the rates given in the table below when ordered in advance of publication. The rates apply only to plain text, with line engravings. Papers containing folded maps or plates will be more expensive.

The following rates do not include free carriage. Postage or express must be paid by the author.

The price of covers, of same style of type and paper as the cover of the journal with simple title printed thereon, is for the first 50 copies $3.00; additional covers 2 cents each. Plates printed on one side, $2.00 for the first 50, and 11⁄2 cents for additional ones; printed on both sides, $3.00 for the first 50, and 24 cents for additional ones.

Sale of Reprints. Arrangements have been made whereby a limited number of reprints of most of the articles appearing in the journal after January 1926 may be secured from the Business Editor at the prices indicated below.

Subscriptions. The price of the journal to subscribers in the United States, Cuba and Mexico is 75 cents for a single copy, or $5.00 a year for eight numbers. To subscribers in Canada, Spain, and countries in Central and South America, except Chile, Venezuela and Dutch and French Guiana, the annual rate is $5.25; in other countries, $5.50.

Missing Numbers will be replaced without charge provided claim is made within four weeks after the date of issue of the following number.
