TABLE Ia: For plants where daily tests of heating value are made by the corporation and checked at intervals by the Commission. This table covers the period from January 1st to December 31st, except as noted, during which it was required that the average monthly heating value should be not less than 585 B. t. u. per cubic foot, and that such average should not be more than 5 per cent below 585 on any three consecutive days. This plant was excused temporarily from making daily tests. Tests made periodically by the Commission show the following results: Number of tests showing less than 537 B. t. u. 2 TABLE III: Showing the number of tests made in each locality with respect to each of the factors shown, the number of deficiencies found, and a summary of the pressures obtaining at time of tests. The established standards prescribe a maximum of 30 grains of sulphur compounds and 5 grains of ammonia in each 100 cubic feet of gas, and prohibits the presence of more than a trace of hydrogen sulphide. |
