Halaman 291 - The miners of each mining district may make regulations not in conflict with the laws of the United States, or with the laws of the state or territory in which the district is situated, governing the location, manner of recording, amount of work necessary to hold possession of a mining claim, subject to the following requirements : The location must be distinctly marked on the ground so that its boundaries can be readily traced.

Halaman 326 - Act, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor for each single violation and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars nor more than One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six months or by both said fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
Halaman 345 - It is agreed that this lease shall remain in force for a term of years from this date, and as long thereafter as oil or gas, or either of them is produced from said land by the lessee.
Halaman 345 - Second. To pay the lessor one hundred dollars each year in advance, for the gas from each well where gas only is found, while the same is being used off the premises, and lessor to have gas free of cost from any such well for all • stoves and all inside lights in the principal dwelling house on said land during the same time by making his own connections with the well at his own risk and expense.
Halaman 291 - ... the plat is correct, with such further description by such reference to natural objects or permanent monuments as shall identify the claim, and furnish an accurate description, to be incorporated in the patent. At the expiration of the sixty days of publication the claimant shall file his affidavit, showing that the plat and notice have been posted in a conspicuous place on the claim during such period of publication.
Halaman 329 - ... by a fine of not less than two hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment; and all vessels, their tackle, apparel, and furniture, whose crews are found engaged in the violation of either this or the preceding section shall be forfeited to the United States.
