SIR: I have the honor to transmit a copy of a report from the Commissioners of Land Claims, in East Florida, dated the 1st January, 1824.* It shows the progress made by that Board in performing the duties assigned to them by law, and contains other information, which may be useful to Congress when legislating on the subject of the Florida Lands. I have the honor also to transmit copies of two reports from the Commissioners of Land Claims in West Florida, dated the 12th November, and 20th January, last. The papers which accompanied these several reports are voluminous. Copies of them are now in preparation, and shall be transmitted to Congress as soon as they are completed.
