Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That a fum not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars, be appropriated towards defraying the expenfe of the military establishment, for the year one thousand seven hundred and ninetyfive.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the out of what feveral fums of money aforefaid, fhall be paid funds paya- and difcharged out of the funds following, to wit: First, the balance which may remain unexpended, of the fum of fix hundred thoufand dollars, referved by the act making provifion for the debt of the United States, after fatisfying the appropriations made in the present feffion, for the support of government: Secondly, the furplus of revenue and income beyond the appropriations heretofore charged thereupon, to the end of the year one thousand feven hundred and ninety-five.

For the like compenfations to the members of the Senate and Houfe of Representatives, their officers and attendants, estimated for a feffion of fix months' continuance, one hundred and eighty-five thoufand, eight hundred and ninety dollars.

For the expenfes of firewood, ftationary, printing-work and all other contingent expenfes of the two Houfes of Congrefs, nine thoufand five hundred dollars.
