SAMUEL W. SALUS, Philadelphia, was born in Philadelphia, August 31, 1872; educated in the public schools and was graduated from the Central High School in 1891, and from the law department of the University of Pennsylvania in 1895; was admitted to the bar of Philadel phia County and subsequently to the bars of the Supreme and Superior Courts of Pennsylvania, the United States Circuit and District Courts and the Supreme Court of the United States; served as a member of common council in 1902; was assistant district attorney of Philadelphia County from 1904 to 1907; was a member of the House of Representatives, sessions of 1903 and 1909; elected to the Senate in 1910 and 1914; re-elected in November, 1918.

HORACE W. SCHANTZ, Lehigh County, was born in Upper Milford township, Lehigh County, Pa., July 31, 1875; was reared on the farm and educated in the public schools, Perkiomen Seminary, and Princeton University; taught school four years, read law and was admitted to the bar in 1902, since which time he has been actively engaged in the practice of his profession; served as Justice of the Peace, Deputy Register of Wills and Solicitor of the Board of Prison Inspectors and County Auditors; in 1904 was elected District Attorney of Lehigh County; elected to the Senate in 1914, and re-elected in November, 1918.

FRED A. SERVICE, Mercer County, born in Sharon, Mercer County, Pa., October 10, 1876; graduated from Sharon High School 1895; attended Washington and Jefferson College, 1897-9 graduated from Columbia Law School, Washington, D. C., 1903; engaged in practice of law a Sharon since 1903; city solicitor of Farrell 1907-1908; president Mercer County Bar Association 1917-18; Supreme Solicitor Protected Home Circle; vice-president Chamber of CommerDR director of Buhl Hospital; member Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and Phi Delta Phi Leza! Fraternity; married March 28, 1907, Anna Vaughn, of Youngstown; two children, Marvella aged twelve years and Annette aged three; elected to the Senate in November, 1920, to fill the unexpired term of Honorable James M. Campbell, deceased.

A. E. SISSON, Erie County, was born in Dayton, N Y., January 12, 1851; lived in Pennsylvania since four years of age and in Erie County since eight years old: was educated in the com mon schools, the Kingsville Academy, Ohio, and the Seminary at North East, Pa.; was admitted to the Erie County Bar in 1881, served as chairman of the Republican County Committee in 1885 and 1886; was elected prosecuting attorney for the county of Erie in 1887, and re elected in 1890; was elected to the Senate of Pennsylvania in 1900, re-elected in 1904 and 1908resigned from the Senate and was elected Auditor General of Pennsylvania in November, 1909. was again elected to the Senate in November, 1920.

FRANK A. SMITH, Dauphin County, was born in Winnipeg, Canada, in 1873; when five years old, removed to Sandusky, Ohio, where he attended the public schools; at the age of twenty-one took out naturalization papers; located in Harrisburg in 1895, where he established The Frank A. Smith Company, with agencies in Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre; is member of the Association of Manufacturers' Representatives; is a director of the Union Trust Company, Harrisburg, a member of the Poor Richard Club of Philadelphia, and is identified with several political and social clubs; served as member of the Republican State Committee, chairman of the Dauphin County Republican Committee in 1912, and was one of the assistant secretaries at the Republican National Convention, Chicago, in 1912; was elected to the Seate February 25, 1919, to fill the unexpired term of Honorable Edward E. Beidleman, resigned.

PLYMOUTH W. SNYDER, Blair County, was born at Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pa. March 1, 1851; educated in the public schools and Hollidaysburg Seminary learning the printing the le served as apprentice in his father's drug store, and attended lectures at Philadelphia Col€2 of Pharmacy, session of 1871-72; succeeded his father in the drug business in 1872: is a me,"ser of the Pennsylvania State Pharmaceutical Association; served on the Board of Health for tea has always been an active Republican; represented the Second District of Blair County in the House of Representatives in the session of 1911 and 1913; elected to the Senate in 1914, and re-elected in November, 1918.

CHARLES WESLEY SONES, Lycoming County, was born near Hughesville, Lycoming County, Pa., June 10, 1860; and is a member of one of the old pioneer families of that County; wa reared on a farm and completed his education at the Muncy Normal School, Muncy, Past the age of eighteen he entered a lumber office in the capacity of clerk and bookkeeper: in 1 wer engaged in the lumber business and is now one of the largest individual operators In Central Pennsylvania; is largely interested in the financial institutions of Williamsport. Is 1 member of the I. O. O. F. and Masonic Lodges; served as a member of the Pennsylvania Panama Pacific Exposition Commission; is a member of the Health Insurance Commission of Pers vania; was elected to the Senate in 1910 and 1914; re-elected in November, 1918.

W. I. STINEMAN, Cambria County, was born at South Fork, Cambria County. Pa.. August 2 1869, being a son of the late Senator Jacob C. Stineman; educated in the public schools; actively engaged in mining and banking; elected to the Senate in November, 1920.

*EDWIN H. VARE, Philadelphia, was born in the old district of Southwark, Philadelphia, July 19. 1862; educated in the public schools; at the age of twenty-one years became engaged in en extensive contracting business under the name of Vare Brothers, the other member of the fir being the late Senator George A. Vare; served part of the session of 1897 as a member of the House of Representatives, and resigned; elected to the Senate in 1908, 1912 and 1916; reflected in November, 1920.

JAMES BENTLEY WEAVER, Westmoreland County, was born at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pa., May 30, 1865; educated in the common schools of Derry township, Westmoreland County, and of Latrobe, being a member of the first graduating class of the Latrobe High School; afterward attended Indiana State Normal School, and taught school four years; was a clerk in the lumber business for several years and, later, served a term as justice of the peace in Latrobe; was graduated from the Law School of the Western University, now University of Pittsburgh, in 1900, and from the Law School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1901; admitted to the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh Bars in 1901 and to the Westmoreland County Bar in 1902; has been solicitor of Latrobe borough since 1911; became a member of the Latrobe School Board in 1907, and was president of the Board from June, 1909, until the first Monday in December, 1914; was Government Appeal Agent and Chairman Legal Advisory Board, Fifth Division, Westmoreland County, during the war, also one of the Four Minute Speakers; served as a member of the House of Representatives, session of 1915; elected to the Senate in 1916; re-elected in November, 1920.

NORMAN A. WHITTEN, Allegheny County, was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., October 28, 1868; educated in the public schools and the Western University of Pennsylvania, now the University of Pittsburgh; has been engaged in the steel business since 1892, and is at present employed by the firm of R. W. Hunt and Company, consulting engineers; removed to Munhall, Allegheny County, in 1897, where he has since resided; was a member of Munhall council for thirteen years; served as a member of the House of Representatives, session of 1915; elected to the Senate in 1916; re-elected in November, 1920.

GEORGE WOODWARD, Philadelphia, was born at Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pa.; educated at Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania; has been engaged in the practice of medicine in Philadelphia; elected to the Senate in November, 1918.

WILLIAM CLOUD ALEXANDER, Delaware County, was born in Thornbury township, Delaware County, Pa., November 12, 1870, the son of Thomas B. and Margaret C. Alexander, both of whom died during Mr. Alexander's youth; was educated in the public schools of Chester and the West Chester State Normal School; read law in the office of W. Roger Fronefield, Media, and was admitted to the Delaware County Bar in March, 1897, since which time he has been actively engaged in the practice of law; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; reelected in November, 1920.

EDWARD LEE ALLUM, Mercer County, was born near Waynesburg, Greene County, Pa.; when nine years of age removed with his parents to Bellaire, Ohio, where he was educated in the public schools; after leaving school, learned the glass blowing trade, which occupation he fol lowed for a number of years; in 1907, moved to Sharon, Pa., since which time he has been connected with the automobile business; was twice elected to the Sharon council; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

CHARLES FOSTER ARMSTRONG, Armstrong County, was born at Harmarville, Allegheny County, Pa., October 21, 1865; attended the public schools until the age of sixteen, when he entered the Auditing Department of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, where he remained until 1900, leaving that service to enter the banking business, in which he is still engaged; has always been a Republican in politics; since 1894, he has represented either the council or school board of the Borough of Leechburg, where he resides; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

JOHN C. ASBURY, Philadelphia, was elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920. RICHARD ASTON, Luzerne County, was born in England, May 27, 1871; educated in the public schools of Wilkes-Barre; senior member of large building contracting firm; president of the Wilkes-Barre Brick Company; has been active in the Republican Party for the past twenty-four years; elected to the House of Representatives in 1916; again elected in November, 1920. CHARLES CALVIN BAKER, Dauphin County, was born in Powls Valley, Dauphin County, Pa., Febuary 8, 1880; educated in the common schools of upper Dauphin County; in 1900, located at Halifax, where he is engaged extensively in the undertaking business, having graduated from several institutions pertaining to his chosen profession; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

CHARLES C. A. BALDI, Jr., Philadelphia, was born at Manayunk, Philadelphia, December 16, 1890; attended the Manayunk grammar school, and was graduated from the Boys' Central High School in 1910; also attended the University of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity; served as a member of common council of Philadelphia for two terms; elected to the House of Representatives in 1916 and 1918; re-elected in November, 1920. *HARRY H. BARNHART, Lebanon County, was born at Annville, Lebanon County, Pa., December 16, 1880; educated in the common schools of Annville and Lebanon Valley College; left college during the winter of 1905 to accept a position in the electrical department of the Pennsylvania Steel Company, at Steelton, later, was transferred to the Lebanon plants of the Bethlehem Steel Company, where he remained until the outbreak of the World War; served continuously in the Pennsylvania National Guard since April 16, 1898, through the various grades to the rank of captain, which commission was issued April 20, 1917; commanded Company D. 109th Machine Gun Battalion, 28th Division, until wounded; returned to United States and on discharge from hospital was assigned to duty Operations Division, General Staff, U. S. Army, until discharged therefrom October 31, 1919; on account of wounds received in action, was unable to return to the steel business, and accepted a position in the State Banking Department, which position he resigned January 21, 1921; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

THOMAS B. BEAVER, Centre County, was born at Bellefonte, Centre County, April 8, 1875: son of the late ex-Governor James A. Beaver who served as Governor of Pennsylvania from 1887 to 1891; educated in the Bellefonte Academy, Harrisburg Academy, graduated from Pennsylvania State College in 1898; director of the Blubaker Coal Company and the First National Bank. Bellefonte; conducts a dairy farm on the outskirts of Bellefonte; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

ROSS L. BECKLEY, Cumberland County, was born at Sunny Side Farm, near New Cumberland. Cumberland County, Pa., July 18, 1878; moved to a farm in Fairview township, York County, in 1884, returning again to New Cumberland in 1902, where he has since resided; educated in the public schools of York and Cumberland Counties, Steelton High School and Millersburg State Normal School; taught school seven terms in York and Cumberland Counties; served as school director in New Cumberland four years and in several other local offices; has been associated with the Harrisburg Electric Supply Company since its organization in 1908, and is now secretary and treasurer of that company; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

FREDERICK A. BELL, Blair County, was born at The Summit, Cambria County, Pa., August 27, 1864; has resided in Altoona since 1869, where he was educated in the public schools; has been in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company since November 1, 1881, being, at present, assistant motive power clerk, Eastern Pennsylvania Division; served as a member of the Board of Education of Altoona fourteen years; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

CHARLES F. BIDELSPACHER, Lycoming County, was born at Gamble township, Lycoming County, Pa., June 26, 1876; reared on a farm; attended the public schools and the Lycoming County Normal School at Muncy, Pa. taught in the rural public schools for four consecutive terms; graduated in the classical course, Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., in 1901; continued teaching for several years in the Lycoming County Normal School and in the Montoursville High School, in the meantime reading law in the office of W. C. Gilmore, Esq., Williamsport, Pa., successfully passed the State Board law examination, and was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court in February, 1908; since then has been actively engaged in the practice of law in Williamsport; was assistant City Solicitor of the city of Williamsport, two years; elected to the House of Representatives in 1916 and 1918; re-elected in November, 1920. FREDERICK W. BLAIR, Erie County, was born at Girard township, Erie County, Pa., December 21, 1869; early in life his father removed to Fairview township; educated in the public schools, Erie Academy and completed his education at Grove City College in 1896; then returned to Girard township, where he has been engaged extensively in farming is prominently identified with farming organizations; served as master of Erie County Pomona Grange, one of the organizers and president of the Erie County Farm Bureau; president of the Erie County Farm Loan Association; and member of board of directors of Erie Exposition; served as school director; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

THOMAS BLUETT, Philadelphia, was born in Birmingham, England, October 7, 1879; when eight years old was brought to Philadelphia by his parents, where he has since resided; attended the village school, Bayard Taylor and Thomas Potter public schools; went to work at an early age in the woolen mills and as a coremaker; attended night schools and business course of Temple University; after finishing business course, left his trade, but continued to study at night in the college and law departments of Temple University; was admitted to the Bar March 6, 1905, since which time he has been engaged in the practice of law; during the war he was counsel and government appeal agent for Draft Board No. 45, Philadelphia District, assistant city solicitor in 1917, and represented the Forty-third ward in common council 1918 and 1919; June 5, 1903, married Phoebe Edel, of Philadelphia, and they have four children; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

ARNOLD MAURICE BLUMBERG, Philadelphia, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., July 16, 1893; was educated in the public schools, and a member of the pioneer class of the Southern High School, graduating therefrom in 1910; awarded free scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania by the City of Philadelphia, graduating from the law department thereof, in 1915, with the degree of LL. B.; was admitted to the Philadelphia Bar and, subsequently, to the Supreme and Superior Courts, also the United States District Court, since which time he has been engaged in the practice of law; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920. JOHN A. BOLARD, Crawford County, was born on a farm in Woodcock township, Crawford County, Pa., October 4, 1867; in 1874, removed with his parents to Waterford, Erie County, where he attended the public schools, Waterford State Acadamy, and was graduated from the Law Department of Michigan University in 1892, with the degree of LL. B.; registered as a law student under Honorable A. E. Sisson, of Erie, and was admitted to the Erie County Bar in 1893, later, admitted to the Superior, Supreme and Federal Courts; in 1894, married Mary J. Cowan, have two sons and two daughters, the eldest son having served in foreign navy service in the World War; moved to Cambridge Springs in 1902, where he continued the practice of law, also became associated with banking, manufacturing and mercantile enterprises; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

CLARK M. BOWER, Perry County, was born in Jackson township, Perry County, Pa., March 24, 1861, on the Bower homestead, where he has always lived and farmed; educated in the public schools; was appointed census enumerator in 1890 and 1900; served as a member of the Republican County Committee fifteen years, member of the State Committee in 1905, school director, nine years, president of the school board, one year, secretary, eight years; elected county commissioner in 1908; member of the Perry County Agricultural Society, chairman of Farmers' Institutes, is vice-president of the First National Bank of New Bloomfield; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

*WILLIAM J. BRADY, Philadelphia, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., January 29, 1883; was educated in the public schools, Saint Joseph's College, Philadelphia, and Saint Charles Seminary, Overbrook; studied law at the University of Pennsylvania and in the office of James W. M. Newlin, Esq., was admitted to the bar in February. 1910, since which time he has been engaged in the practice of law; elected to the House of Representatives in 1916 and 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

CYRUS K. BRENDLE, Berks County, was born on a farm bordering on Berks and Lancaster Counties, Pa., March 3, 1878; educated in the public schools; served three terms as justice of the peace of the borough of Shillington; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; reelected in November, 1920.

BERT LEO BRENNEMAN, York County, was born in North Codorus township, York County, Pa., educated in the rural public schools and York County Academy; taught in the public schools twenty-four years; is now engaged in truck farming; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

WALLACE BROMLEY, Philadelphia, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., December 31, 1886: educated in the public schools and the William Penn Charter School; was graduated froin the University of Pennsylvania, College Department, 1907, and Department of Law, 1910; admitted to the Bar of Philadelphia County in 1910, subsequently to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsyl vania, and has been engaged in the practice of his profession; enlisted July 9, 1917, in Enlisted Ordnance Reserve Corps, United States Army; promoted to grade of Ordnance Sergeant and assigned to Ordnance Supply School, Camp Meade, Md., subsequently, receiving commission as Second Lieutenant; assigned to Camp Lee, Va., later, to Frankford Arsenal, Bridesburg, Pa., and was honorably discharged January 4, 1919; member of Twenty-first Ward Republican Committee for a number of years, and elected president of that body in June, 1920; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

THOMAS E. BROOKS, York County, was born in Chanceford township, York County, Pa., April 30, 1872 was educated in the public schools of Chanceford township and Red Lion Borough, the York County Academy and Millersville State Normal School; taught school nine terms; in 1898, entered the cigar manufacturing and tobacco business in which he is still engaged; served as justice of the peace, Red Lion Borough, two terms; is a director of the Red Lion First National Bank, Ebert Furniture Company, and is also interested in a number of other business enterprises; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

FRANK B. BROWN, Berks County, was born in Rockland township, Berks County, Pa., January 10, 1872; attended public schools and took special courses; in 1892, became a member of the reportorial staff of the Reading Herald and, the same year, secured the position of traveling correspondent of the Reading Eagle, covering a large portion of eastern Pennsylvania for that newspaper; since 1904 has been country editor of the Eagle; elected to the House of Repre sentatives in November, 1920.

THOMAS R. BROWN, Montgomery County, was elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

RICHARD DAVID BURNS, Philadelphia, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., December 20, 1876: educated in the public schools, and took special course in Mathematics and Power and Heating: is a member of the Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers; member of Philadelphia council two years, 1918-1920; is engaged as a heating and plumbing contractor; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

THEODORE CAMPBELL, Philadelphia, was born at Daretown, Salem County, N. J., January 11, 1866; educated in the public schools and West Jersey Academy, Bridgeton, N. J.; became an apprentice in the drug business in 1888, and was graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 1892, since which time he has been engaged in the drug business; has always been active in the Republican party, serving eight years as a member of the Thirty-Fourth Ward Republican Committee and nine years on the Thirty-fourth sectional school board; in 1919, was appointed by the Speaker of the House a member of the Health Insurance Commission, elected to the House of Representatives in 1908, 1914, 1916 and 1918; re-elected in November, 1920. CHARLES W. CATLIN, McKean County, was born in Owego, Tioga County, New York, January 5, 1866; educated in the public schools of Port Allegany, Pa., and Valparaiso University, Indiana, graduating from the latter in June, 1890; was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in February, 1891, since which time he has been engaged in the practice of law in McKean County; served as chairman of the Republican County Committee, member of the Republican State Committee, and president of the McKean County Directors Association, two years, also a member of the Port Allegany School District twenty-four consecutive years; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

ISAAC M. CHAPLIN, Cambria County, was born in Reade township, Cambria County Pa., December 21, 1888; educated in the public schools, finished education in Reade Township High School; in 1907 was employed by Cambria Steel Company in the Boiler Shop; in 1910 transferred to Open Hearth Steel Department, served three years as Open Hearth Steel Worker, resigned from Steel Company to enter newspaper business as circulation manager on the Johnstown Leader; for the past few years has been engaged in the taxicab business in Johnstown; is president of the Auto Service Company; was elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

PAUL D. CLUTTON, Somerset County, was born at Chicora, Butler County, Pa., August 16, 1887; educated in the Model School, at Slippery Rock, and was graduated from the Slippery Rock State Normal School in 1906; taught in the public and high schools of Butler, Beaver and Somerset Counties, and was principal of the Meyersdale High School, two years; passed the State Board Pharmaceutical examination in 1905, and was engaged in the drug business in Butler, Washington and Somerset Counties, six years; since 1913, has been engaged in the retail clothing business; has been secretary of the Meyersdale Community Boosters Club and a member of the Meyersdale School Board for the past five years; elected to the House of Repre sentatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

GEORGE A. COMERER, Fulton County, was born at McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pa., July 20, 1876; educated in the public schools; was in the employ of G. W. Reisner and Company, general merchandise, from 1893 to 1900, when he installed the creamery at Webster Mills, which he conducted until 1903; then purchased the homestead farm in Ayr township, which he has been operating since that time; has held various minor political offices; elected to the House of Representatives in 1918; re-elected in November, 1920.

PATRICK CONNER, Philadelphia, was born at West Grove, Chester County, Pa., February 19, 1870; educated in the public schools of West Grove; when sixteen years of age was employed by the late Senator Thomas B. Harper in his artesian well business as a well driller, and is now manager of that concern; was a member of the House of Representatives, sessions of 1911, 1913, 1915, 1917 and 1919; re-elected in November, 1920.

CALVIN E. COOK, York County, was born near Dillsburg, Carroll township, York County, Pa.. October 21, 1871; educated in the public schools of York County and the York County Academy: taught school twenty-three terms; spent several years in the lumber business; is now engaged in the agricultural business and stock raising; is representative of the Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Paradise and Codorus and the Manheim Fire Insurance Company of York; elected to the House of Representatives in 1916 and 1918; re-elected in November, 1920. JAMES REED CRAIG, Erie County, was born in the village of Greenville, Clarion County, Pa.. September, 1869; educated in the public schools, Oberlin College, Clarion State Normal School and Grove City College, from which he was graduated in 1890; in October, 1891, entered the law offices of Supreme Court Justice Emory A. Walling, at Erie, and was admitted to the Erie County Bar in January, 1894, since which time he has been engaged in the practice of law; served as secretary of the Republican County Committee several terms, and has also served as chairman of the Republican City Committee of Erie for a number of years; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.

JOHN ORR CRAIG, Franklin County, was born at Welsh Run, Franklin County, December 4, 1865: educated in the public schools, Welsh Run Academy and Shippensburg State Normal School; removed to Greencastle in 1897; served two terms as councilman and several terms as president of the board of school directors of Greencastle; chairman of Franklin_Courty School Directors' Association, a member of the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, and president of the County Farm Bureau; elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1920.
