Cap. 18. For the better regulation of trials by jury; and for enlarging the time for trials by Nifi Prius in the county of Middlefex. Cap. 19. For making the river Nar navigable, from the town and port of King's Lynn, to Weftatre, in the county of Norfolk.

Cap. 20. For repairing and widening the road from Prefton to Lancaster, and from thence to a place called Heiring Syke, that divides the counties of Lancafter and Weftmoreland. Cap. 21. For enlarging the term and powers granted by an act paffed in the third year of the reign of his prefent Majefty, for repairing and amending the feveral roads leading from IVoodflock through Kiddington and Enftone to Rollright Lane, and from Enflow Bridge to Kiddington aforefaid, in the county of Oxford; and for making the faid act more effectual.

Cap. 22. For explaining and amending fo much of an act paffed in the fourteenth year of the reign of his prefent Majefty for the repairing and enlarging the roads from the town of Selby, in the weft riding of the county of York, to the town of Leeds; and from thence in two feveral branches, one through Bradford and Horton, and the other

through Bowling and Wibfey, to the town of Halifax in the fame riding, as relates to that part of the faid roads which lies between Selby and Leeds, and alfo for repairing the road from Tadcaster in the faid weft riding, over Bramham Moor thro' Kidhall Lane, over Win Moer, and through Seacroft, to a place called Halton Dyal, where it comes into the abovefaid road, between Selby and Leeds,

Cap. 23. For regulating the commencement of the year; and for correcting the calendar now in use. Cap. 24. To provide for the adminiftration of the government, in cafe the crown fhould defcend to any of the children of his late royal highnefs Frederick prince of Wales, being under the age of eighteen years; and for the care and guardianship, of their perfons, Cap. 25. For laying out, making,

and keeping in repair, a road proper for the paffage of troops and carriages from the city of Carlife, to the town of Newcastle upon Tyne. Cap. 26. For cleanfing and enlightening the open places, ftreets, and other paffages, and regulating the nightly watch and bedels, in the parish of Saint Matthew, Bethnal Green, in the county of Middlefex. Cap. 27. To enable the prefent and future proprietors and inhabitants of the houfes in Golden Square, in the parish of Saint James, Weftminfler, in the county of Middlefax, to make and levy a rate on themfelves, for raifing money fufficient for the better inclofing, paving, enlightening, and adorning of the faid fquare and fupporting and keeping of the fame in repair for the future.

Cap. 28. For repairing the road from

the top of Crickley Hill in the county of Gloucefter, to Frogg-Mill, through the towns of Northleach, Burford, and Witney, and parishes

of Hanborough and Bladen, to Campsfield, in the parish of Kidlington, in the county of Oxford; and alfo the road from Witney, through Enfham, Cumner and Botley, to the city of Oxford.

Cap. 29. For repairing the road leading from the town of Ludlow in the county of Salop, through Wofferton and Little Hereford, to a place called Monk's Bridge, in the faid county; and also from the faid town ofƆ Ludlow, to a place or house called the Maidenhead at Orleton in the county of Hereford..

Cap. 30. For repairing the high roads leading from Darlington in the county of Durham, to Weft Auckland, and feveral other roads in the faid county therein mentioned.

Cap. 31. For explaining, amending, and enforcing, an act paffed in the thirteenth year of his late Majefty's reign, intituled, An act for the better regulation of the linen and hempen manufactures in that part of Great Britain called Scotland; and for further regulating and encouraging) the faid manufactures. Cap. 32. For enlarging the term and powers granted by two acts of parliament for repairing the road from Wendover, to the town of Buckingham in the county of Bucks; and alfo for repairing and widening the road leading from the weft end of the faid town of Wendover, to the end of a lane called Oak Lane, next the great road called The Oxford Road, lying between the town of Beconsfield, in the faid county of Bucks, and Uxbridge in the county of Middlefex, and that part of the faid great road which leads from the weft end of the faid town of Beconsfield, to the river Colne near Uxbridge aforefaid.

Cap. 36. For building a bridge over the river Ribble, between the townfhips of Prefton and Penwortham, near a place called the Fish-house, in the county palatine of Lancaster. Cap. 37. For dividing the parish of Saint Philip and Jacob in the county of Gloucester, and in the city and county of Briftol; and for erecting a church in the new intended parish. Cap. 38. For levying a duty of two pennies Scots, or a fixth part of La penny fterling, on every Scots pint -of ale and beer which fhall be brewred for fale, brought into, tapped

or fold, within the town of Greenock, band baronies of Eafter and Wefter Greenock, and Finnart, and liberties thereof, in the county of Renfrew, for repairing the harbour of the faid town, and for other purpoles therein mentioned. Cap. 39. For the better regulating the navigation of the river Avon, running through the counties of Warwith, Worcester and Gloucefter; and for afcertaining the rates of watercarriage upon the faid river. Cap. 40. For granting to his Majesty

an additional duty upon fpirituous. liquors, and upon licences for retailing the fame; and for repealing the act of the twentieth year of his prefent Majesty's reign, intituled,

An act for granting a duty to his Majefty to be paid by distillers upon licences to be taken out by them for retailing fpirituous liquors; and for the more effectually reftraining the retailing of diftilled fpirituous liquors; and for allowing a drawback upon the exportation of British made fpirits; and that the parish of Saint Mary le Bon, in the county of Middlefex, fhall be under the inspection of the head office of excife.

fty the fum of fix hundred thoufand pounds out of the finking fund, for the fervice of the year one thousand feven hundred and fifty one; and for allowances to the poor widows of commiffion and warrant officers of the royal navy; and for the further appropriating the supplies granted this feffion of parliament; and for making forth duplicates of exchequer bills, lottery tickets, certificates, orders of loan, or annuity orders, payable at the exchequer in lieu of fuch as fhall be loft, burnt or destroyed; and also for making forth new orders of loan or annuity orders, in lieu of fuch as fhall become defaced, obliterated, or otherwife incumbered with affignments or endorsements thereon.

Cap. 49. For allowing further time to the commiffioners appointed by and in pursuance of an act of the twenty third year of his prefent Majefty's reign, intituled, An alt for extending and improving the trade to Africa, to inquire into the claims of certain creditors of the royal African company therein mentioned, and for the relief of David Crichton; and for restraining the faid company from difpofing of fuch of their effects as are therein mentioned; and for staying all fuits for money due from or on the account of the said company, for the time therein mentioned. Cap. 50. To enable his Majefty to

make leafes and copies of offices, lands and hereditaments, parcel of his dutchy of Cornwall, or annexed to the fame.

Cap. 53. To regulate and restrain paper bills of credit in his Majefty's colonies or plantations of Rhode Ifland and Providence plantations, Connecticut, the Maffachufets Bay, and New Hampshire in America ; and to prevent the fame beinglegal tenders in payments of money. Cap. 54. For explaining, continuing, and enforcing feveral laws therein mentioned, more effectually to prevent the spreading of the diftemper which nowrages amongst the horned cattle in this kingdom. Cap. 55. For amending and making more effectual a clause in an act paffed in the laft feffion of parliament, for the apprehending of perfons in any county or place, upon warrants granted by juftices of the peace of any other county or place. Cap. 56. For afcertaining the admeafurement of wheat meal, or other corn or grain ground, for which a bounty is payable upon exportation; and for making allowances to the East India company, for their charges and expences in managing, paying, and transferring their reduced annuities.

Cap. 57. To continue feveral laws therein mentioned; for preventing theft and rapine on the northern borders of England; for the more effectual punishing wicked and evil-difpofed perfons going armed in difguife, and doing injuries and violences to the perfons and properties of his Majesty's fubjects, and for the more fpeedy bringing the offenders to juftice; for continuing two claufes to prevent the cutting or breaking down the bank

of any river or fea bank; and to prevent the malicious cutting of hop-binds; for the more effectual punishment of perfons maliciously Jetting on fire any mine, pit, or delph of coal, or cannel coal; and of perfons unlawfully hunting or taking any red or fallow deer in forefts or chaces, or beating or wounding the keepers or other officers in forefts, chaces or parks; for granting a liberty to carry fugars of the growth, produce, or manufacture of any of his Majefty's fugar colonies in America, from the faid colonies, directly into foreign parts, in fhips built in Great Britain, and navigated according to law; for preventing the committing of frauds by bankrupts; for giving further encouragement for the importation of naval ftores from the British colonies in Ameri

; and for preventing frauds and abufes in the admeasurement of - coals in the city and liberty of Weftminfter; and to make fome further provifions in relation to the figning of certificates for the discharge of bankrupts.

Cap. 58. For making, widening, and :: keeping in repair, feveral roads in the feveral parishes of Lambeth, Newington, Saint George's Southwark and Bermondsey in the county of Surrey; and Lewisham in the County of Kent.

Cap. 59. For enlarging of the terms 7 and powers, and making more ef

fectual feveral acts of parliament > :for repairing and amending the highways leading from Royston in the county of Hertford, to Wansford Bridge in the county of Huntingden, fo far as relates to the amend ing of that part of the road as lies between a place called the White Peft on Alconbury Hill in the county of Huntingdon, and Wansford Bridge in the fame county, called the North Divifion; and that the tolls taken

at Saltree and Wansford toll-gates may, from and after a certain time, be lowered; and for repairing the road leading from Stilton in the faid county of Huntingdon, to Peterborough in the county of Northampton. Private Acts.
