The said resolution was then modified by adding to the end tnereof the following, viz: "And that this Convention will adjourn sine die on the second day of February next." A motion was made by Mr. Fuller, To amend the resolution by striking therefrom all after the word "Resolved," and inserting in lieu thereof the following, viz: "That when the seventh article and a clause providing for future amendments to the constitution shall have been considered in committee of the whole, that this Convention will proceed to the second reading of the several articles of the constitution. The amendment being under consideration, To postpone the further consideration of the amendment, together with the resolution, indefinitely. The previous question was then called for by Messrs. Dickey, Merkel, Hiester, Barndollar, Coates, Royer, Crum, Darlington, Pollock, Kerr, Henderson of Dauphin, Nevin, Dillinger, Snively, Reigart, Woodward, Saeger and Clarke of Beaver. A motion was made by Mr. Earle, That the Convention proceed to the second reading and consideration of the resolution read on the 7th instant, as follows, viz: Resolved, That the rules of this Convention be so changed, that it shall not be in order for any delegate to speak for more than one hour and a half at any one time, except by the unanimous consent of the Convention or committee of the whole. Which was agreed to. And the said resolution being under consideration, A motion was made by Mr. Sturdevant, To amend the resolution by striking therefrom the words "and a half." Which was agreed to. A motion was made by Mr. Stevens, To amend the resolution by striking therefrom the words "unanimous consent," and inserting in lieu thereof the words "leave of two-thirds." Which was agreed to.
