The French cyclopedia Dictionnaire de pédagogie et d'instruction primaire by Ferdinand Buisson (Paris, Hachette, 1882. 4v.) is important for information regarding French education.

Barnard's American journal of education (Hartford, Conn., 1856-81. 31v.) and the National education association's Journal of proceedings and addresses (v. p. 18571907) contain much valuable information which is made easier of consultation by their index volumes (see p. 10, 19)

The latest reports of the United States Bureau of education and those of the state and city superintendents of instruction must frequently be consulted for statistical and other information relating to education.

The Bureau of education is the best source for information regarding education.
