all my just debts be paid by my Executors. Secondly, I will and order that the farm on which I now live be let by my Executors, and the rents and profits thereof to be paid to my loving wife Barbara, by them annually, for her support during her natural life; and I also give and bequeath unto my wife all her linen, her wearing apparel, and a bed and bedding. I give and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Catherine Schutt, wife of Matthew Allen Schutt, the sum of One hundred and twenty-five dollars, to be paid to her as she needs it, at the discretion of my Executors. I will and order all my negro slaves whom I have not already given free, the same to be free whenever they shall arrive at the age of thirty years, provided they can be manumitted agreable to the laws of this State; provided also that my estate be discharged from any support for them. If in case I do not sell them myself, I will and order that my Executors sell them, provided that the said slaves, or either of them, suit to their own minds with a purchasor or purchasors. The remainder of my estate I order to be equally divided between my children, viz., John Phillips, Henry Phillips, James Phillips, and Abraham Phillips; and two daughters, viz., Sarah, the wife of Daniel Van Voorhis, and Jane, the wife of Gilbert Noxon; which equal dividends I give and bequeath unto them, their heirs and assigns forever, except the share of Abraham Phillips to be paid to him as he needs it, at the discretion of my Executors, and after his decease, if there should be any part left, the same to be paid to his heirs and assigns forever. And whereas, I have heretofore advanced unto my children monies, for which I hold their several receipts; I will and order that the said several sums be not calculated with my estate, and no charge be made against them as part of their legacies. I do further order and empower my Executors to sell all my

personal property at public vendue, and to make an equal dividend of the same among my children, share and share alike, in manner before mentioned. Lastly, I do hereby nominate, constitute, and appoint my sons John Phillips and James Phillips, togather. with my nephew Henry H. Phillips, my Executors to this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.

In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the twenty-ninth day of August, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and ten.
