ORDERD the like to Isaac Stoutenburgh or order the sum No 1799 of £311 15:8 out of the monies paid into his hands by the Church wardens of this City & raised & collected in virtue of an act of Legislature of this province lately made & published in full of his acc! for divers quantitys of lamp oyl fire wood &c. by him paid for the use of this Corporation as also for a quarters lighting of the Citys lamps, as p' said acct sworn to & allowed by this Board.

ORDERD the like to Mr John Depeyster Jun' or order the sum of £76: 127 in full for the ballance of his severall accts this day exhibited to the Common Councill for sundries found for the barracks &c. as pr his said accts audited by the Committee, sworn to & allowed of by this Board.

ORDERD the assize of bread be till further order flour at 18/6 pr Ct A White Loaf of the finest flour to weigh......1 11°z for 4 Coppers Do of Do........... to weigh...... Do

AND FURTHER ORDER'D that no other Bread be made for Sale within this City than According to the above Assize (hard Bisquits only Excepted) and that all Bakers within the Same take Notice thereof and make their Bread accordingly

ORDER'D that Mr Mayor Issue his Warrant to the TreasNo 1801 urer of this City to pay to James Mills or order the sum of £2476 in full of his acc! for victualling sundry felons from the 25th of October last to this day as p' his said acct sworn to

& allowed of by this Board & likewise the further sum of £10 to be by him laid out for the use of this Corporation.

Mr Recorder produced to this Board the draft of a petition to be [304] preferred to his Majesties Councill of the province of New York which was Read and is in the words following, Viz!

To the Honourable the Councill of the province of New York:

The Petition of the Mayor, Aldermen

& Commonalty of the City of New York.

Humbly Sheweth, That your Petitioners are informed that a Bill has lately passed the House of General Assembly for this province now Setting Entituled an Act for Regulating the Sale of Firewood brought to the City of New York & is already or will be sent to your Honours for your concurrence; that your petitioners by their charter of incorporation are invested with power to make by laws for the publick good, trade & government of this City; your petitioners therefore humbly pray that they may be favoured with a copy of the said bill before it passes your honourable Board & be Indulged with an opportunity of making their objections thereto if they should conceive that the said bill infringes upon or abridges any of the rights or privilidges granted to them by their charter & your petitioners shall ever pray &c:

The said Petition being taken into Consideration by this Board was approved of & ORDERD that the clerk engross & sign the same in behalf of the Common Councill & deliver it to the Recorder to be by him delivered to his said Majesties Council for this province

sum of £5 18:6 out of the monies raised by virtue of an act entituled an Act for the better regulating the publick roads in the City and County of New York and to levy money to defray the expence thereof in full for the ballance of his acc! with this Corporation as p his said acc! audited by the Committee & allowed of by this Board ORDERD the Mayor issue his warr! to the treasurer of this No 1803 City to pay to Nich: Roosevelt Esq" the sum of £8 to be by him applied towards sinking a well in
