THE COMMITTEE Who were appointed to Audit the Publick Accounts of This Corporation, made Their Report in the Words Following Viz: City of New York ss. WEE the Committee appointed to Audit the Publick Accounts of this Corporation, Do in Obedience, To said Appointment Report that We have Carefully Examined M Able Hardenbrook's Accounts, Relating [to] the Income of our Powder House or magazine, from the year one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Two, To the Thirteenth day of march One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Four, and Find Agreeable to The Chamberlains Accounts, that he the said Able Hardenbrook, has paid said Chamberlain, In the Time Above mentioned, Severall Sums of money Which in the Whole amounts to Nine Hundred, and Sixty Five Pounds, Eight Shillings, and Eight Pence, and Find a Ballance Still in said. Hardenbrook's Hands, Amounting To Fourteen pounds, Ten Shillings, and Six pence, And Also, near Two Hundred Pounds, Out Standing Debts, in the Hands of Mr William Kelly and Others Which Debts. We have desired Said Hardenbrook to C[o]llect with all Convenient Speed and When Received To pay the Same into The Hands of the Chamberlain Which is Nevertheless, Humbly Submitted by your most Humble Servts

ORDER'D By This Board That for the Future the Assize of the markets of this City be as Follows Viz! That all kinds of meat be sold by Weight and in no other manner whatsoever That the price of Beef be at and after the rate of Four pence Half Penny by the pound Weight the price of Fresh Butter at and after the rate of one Shilling and three pence by the pound Weight and price of milk at and after The rate of Five Coppers by the Quart and that whoever shall directly

or Indirectly Sell offer or Sett to Sale any meat fresh Butter or Milk Whatsoever in any other manner than is hereby directed or Shall Sell offer or Sett to Sale any Beef Milk or Butter at any Greater or higher price or prices than is or are hereby fixed he she or they so Offending, Concerning and relating to The Article of Beef Shall Forfiet and Pay for every offence The sum of Forty Shillings and for every Offence in and Relating to the Sale of Other meats fresh Butter or milk the sum of Ten Shillings To be recovered and Levied in the manner directed by the Royall Charter Granted To the mayor Aldermen and Commonalty of This City and that this ordinance of Assize Stand in the room and Stead of all and every former ordinance or Ordinances for the assizing the Markets, which is and are hereby Repealed.

THE PETITION of Cornelius P. Low of the City of New York merchant being preferred to this Board ORDER'D that the Consideration thereof be deferred until the next Common Council.

No 1703 urer of this City to pay to Whitehead Hicks Esqr or order the sum of Five hundred Pounds out of the monies paid into his hands by the Church Wardens of this City and raised and Collected by Virtue of an Act of the Governour Councill and Generall Assembly of this Province Lately made and Published, Entituled an

Act to Impower & Enable the mayor Recorder and Aldermen of the City of New York to order the raising a Sum not Exceeding fourteen hundred pounds for the purposes within mentioned, to be by him applied towards Rebuilding the City Hall, which said Sum this Board Do agree to Return to the said Treasurer or Chamberlain as Soon as the Same shall be by him required

ORDER'D The Like To James Mills or order the sum of No 1704 Thirty Four Pounds Twelve Shillings and Six Pence in Full of his Account for Victualling Sundry Criminals to the Third of April Last as his said Account Audited and Sworn To and Allowed of By This Board. As Also the Further Sum of Three Pounds to be by him Laid out in Purchasing Firewood for the use of the Justices at the new Goal

ORDER'D The Like To Mr Isaac Stoutenburgh or order No 1705 the sum of Ninety Five Pounds Three Shillings and Two Pence (out of the monies to be paid into his hands by the Church Wardens of This City and Raised and Collected By Virtue of an Act of the Lieutenant Governour the Council and General Assembly of This Province Lately made and published) In Full of an Account this day Exhibited to the Common Councill for one Quarters Allowance Paid the Lamp Lighters, For Cash Advance To Mr Gabriel Ludlow and Stephen Terhune and For a years Cellar Rent and Taking Care of the Oil and Lamps as Pr his said Account Sworn To and Allowed of by this Board/

ORDERD the Like to Mr Isaac Stoutenburgh or order No 1706 the sum of Sixteen pounds two Shillings in full of his account for a years Storage of the Citys arms Publick Library &c: and for Cleansing the said arms as pr his said acct Sworn to and allowed of by this Board

[233] ORDER'D The Like To Mr Abraham Lefferts or order No 1707 the sum of Fifteen Pounds For one Years Interest of Three Hundred Pounds at Five pr Cent due and Ending the Twelfth day of January Last

Alderman Roosevelt Acquainted this Board that Isaac Van Hook Jun, Desired him to move this Board for Leave To Erect a Maschine for the Weighing of Hay in that part of his ward directed by act of assembly It is thereupon ORDER'D by this board that Leave be Given Accordingly and that the said Alderman and his Assistant direct

THE PETITION of Cornelius P: Low of This City Merchant was preferred to this Board, praying the Grant of a Water Lott, fronting his Lot of Ground on the Southwesterly Corner of Burnets Key, two hundred feet into the East River with the priviledge of 25 or 30 feet fronting the Street on the Easterly Side of the Slip in Rotten Row and a part of the said Slip the Whole Length of the said two hundred feet in order for the running out a peer fronting the same, and is in the Words following

That your Petitioner is Seized in Fee of a Certain Lott of Ground Scituate lying and Being in the City of New York in the East Ward of the same City on the Southwesterly Corner of Burnets Key and is in Breadth in Front on said Key Thirty Five feet Three Inches And in Breadth on the Southwest Side of the said Lott Fronting the Street on the Easterly Side of the Slip in Rotten Row Thirty Three feet Four Inches.
