Payne Under the seal of this Corporation and deliver the same to him. on his Executing a Counterpart thereof to the use of this Board, the said Lease to be Agreeable to such Conditions as were this day Signed by the said Benj Payne.

Mr Mayor and Alderman Livingston who were desired by this Board to dispose of the docks and Wharfs Belonging to this Corporation, Reported that they have Accordingly sold the same for the Term of Three years to John Griffith of this City Marriner to Commence the first day of May Next for the Yearly Rent of five hundred pounds. ORDER'D by this Board that the Clerk prepare a Lease to the said John Griffith for the same under the seal of this Corporation, and Deliver it to him on his Executing a Counterpart thereof to the use of this Board the said Lease to be on the Usuall Terms/.

ORDER'D By this Board that Mr Mayor Request of his honour the Lieutenant Governor to Issue a Proclamation Offering a Reward to Any white person that shall Discover any person or persons Lately Concerned in attempting to sett fire to Severall Dwelling houses Store houses and Stables in this City (so that such person or persons be Convicted thereof) The sum of Two hundred pounds Current Money of this Province and this Board will Issue their Warrant to the Chamberlain or Treasurer of this Corporation for the payment of such sum, as any person by Virtue of such proclamation shall be Entituled unto.

ORDERD that the Clerk prepare a Bond from this Corporation to John Roberts Esq' high Sheriff of this City in the Penalty of One hundred Pounds in Order to Indempnifie him in Delivering to Johannis Myer the Possession of a house and Lott of Ground Lately Recovered from Baltus Van Kleek in the West ward of this City and Annex the seal of this Corporation thereto and deliver the Same to the said John Roberts for the purpose Aforesaid.

ORDER'D by this Board that the clerk thereof prepare a Lease to Isaac Will of this City of New York Gardiner for the Island Commonly Called Bedlows Island for the Term of One Year upon the following Conditions [92] towitt That this Corporation Will find and provide for the said Isaac Will a Pettiauger and one Cow, and that the said Isaac Will is not to be permitted to Sell or Retail any Strong Liquors or Entertain any Company on the said Island during the Continuance of the Lease and that if the said Lease shall not be Continued longer than for a year that at the Expiration thereof he shall Leave the Cow for the use of the said Corporation and shall Repay them the Price they Advance for the said Pettiauger and that the said Isaac Will shall be oblidged to Continue on said Island During the Continuance of the Lease in Case any Sick shall be Lodged there and Afford them his & his familys assistance/

The Clerk produced to this Board the Engrossed deed from this Corporation to Jacob Brewerton which was objected to & Deferred

ORDER'D the Mayor Issue his warrant to the Treasurer of No 1489 this City to pay to Mr Isaac Stoutenburgh or his Order the sum of Twenty five pounds Eleven Shillings and three pence half penny in full for the Ballance of his Account for Moneys by him Advanced and paid for Charges Attending the Court and Watch house from the first day of October one Thousand seven hundred and Fifty nine to the fourteenth of Aprill Inst in which said Account is included what he paid to Howard Lackey for a half Years Lighting the Citys Lamps, Likewise the further sum of Thirty Three pounds six Shillings Being what he Advanced and paid for the Constables days and night watches from the Fifteenth of October Last to the first of Aprill Instant and Likewise the further sum of Two pounds Seven Shillings for work done by him for this Corporation which said Severall Accounts were Audited by this Board and Allowed of

ORDER'D the like to John Earle or his Order the sum of No 1490 Seven pounds Two Shillings and Seven pence in full of his Account for Sixty seven and an half foot of Lead Glass and for work done by him for this Corporation as Pr his said Account Sworn to and allowed of by this Board/.

ORDER'D the Like to Mr John Depeyster or his Order the No 1492 sum of Two Thousand and Seventy pounds for Monies by him Advanced and paid for the use of the new Goal from April the Twelfth one Thousand Seven hundred and Fifty nine to December the Nineteenth following and Likewise the further sum of Five hundred and Ten pounds for monies by him advanced and Laid Out for the Use of the Barracks [93] from October one Thousand seven hundred and Fifty Eight to February one Thousand seven hundred and Fifty Nine.

ORDER'D the Mayor Issue his Warrant to the Treasurer No 1493 of this City to pay to Walter Brock or his order the sum of Nine pounds Eleven Shillings in full of his Account for the Expences of Severall Meetings of this Corporation as his said Account Sworn to and Allowed of by this Board/

ORDER'D the Like to Mr Abraham Lefferts or his order No 1494 the sum of Thirty pounds in full for 2 Years Interest of Three hundred pounds at Five Cent due Unto him and

Ending the Twelfth day of January Last.

ORDER'D the Like to John Sayre or his order the sum of No 1495 Six pounds in full for a half Years Sallary due unto him and Ending the first of May next.

ORDER'D By this Board that Alderman Scott Cause a New Election of an Assessor for Bowery Division in the Out ward of this City in the Room place and stead of Peter Stuyvesandt who was Returned Elected the Twenty Ninth of September Last an assessor for the said Division for the Ensueing Year and was and Still is Neither a freeman nor freeholder and that the Election be on Tuesday Next at Ten oClock in the forenoon/

ORDER'D that the Mayor Issue his Warrant to the TreasNo 1496 urer of this City to pay to mr Peter Clopper or his Order the sum of Six pounds Fifteen Shillings and Eight pence for the Like sum by him Advanced and paid to Richard Outen Bogart for

ORDER'D the Like to Isaac Stoutenburgh or his order the No 1498. sum of Forty Two pounds Nineteen Shillings and six pence in full of his Account for the Like sum by him advanced and paid for sundry nights watches in the Steeple of the City Hall from the Fifteenth of Aprill Last to the Thirtieth of May Following and for sundry Other services as . his said account sworn to and allowed of by this Board

ORDER'D that the Committee which were appointed the Twenty sixth of October Last to View and Consider in what manner Dye street in the West ward of the said City ought to be Regulated and paved, be a Committee to cause the Broad way street from said Dye street as far as Division Street on Both sides to be forthwith Regulated and paved, and Report the same to this Board with All Convenient speed%

Mr Marschalk one of the Citys Surveyors produced to this Board the Draft or plan of a Road which he hath lately Laid out by the direction of this Corporation in the west ward of this City and is in the following manner Viz! Begining from the Spring Garden House where the street now is of the Breadth of Eighty Two feet six Inches, and Extending from thence North Thirty seven Degrees, East Thirty Minutes, Untill it Comes to the Ground of the Late Widdow Rutgers Leaving the street thereof Fifty foot in Breadth, which is approved of by this Board and ORDER'D that the same be Recorded in such manner Accordingly.

IT IS ORDERD by this Board that notice be Given to Evert Bivanck Margaret Bown and Belitie Renaudet that they do forthwith Remove and carry Back their severall Buildings store houses and Other Improvements opposite to their Respective Dwelling houses in Montgomerie ward of this City, fifteen feet so as to Enlarge the street that now is of thirty feet in Breadth of the Breadth of Forty five feet, which they severally Covenanted to do and perform in one Year from the date of their Grant from this Corporation and that they also Comply with the severall Covenants therein Contained Otherwise this Board will Com
