ORDER'D that Alderman De Peyster and Mr Roosevelt Cause a nusance of Severall Lotts of Ground Lying in Little Queen Street in the west ward of this City to be forthwith Removed pursuant to an Act of Assembly Entituled an Act to Enable and Impower the Mayor, Aldermen and Commonalty of the City of New York and their Successors to prevent and Remove particular Nusances within the Same to the Southward of Fresh water and that they order the said Little Queen Street and Thames Street to be immediately Dug, Regulated and paved and Report the Same to this Corporation with all Convenient Speed

ORDER'D that the Heirs of St Peter Warren Decd pay to this Corporation four pence foot for the water Lotts heretofore orderd to be Granted them Lying in the North River

THE COMMITTEE appointed the ninth of July Instant for Regulating the Pavements from the pump in wall Street to the meal market made their Report in these words (to witt) City of New York ss: Pursuant to an Order of the Common Councill of the ninth of July Instant for Regulating the pavement from the pump in wall Street to the meal Market. WE the Subscribers do Report that we have Regulated the pavement from the west part of Mr Nathaniel Marstons house to go Down with a Regular Descent to the west part of Mr Abraham Lynsen's House and that Mr Abraham Lynsens pavement Remain as it

Now is and from the East part of Mr Lynsens House aforesaid to go Down with a Regular Descent to the west part of Mr Charles Crommelyn's House the Descent is 3 inches on 9 feet 71⁄2 Inches which is Humbly Submitted by Your humble Servants Philip Livingston, Evert Bivanck, William De Peyster, Peter Clopper, which Report being read and approved of and ORDERD by this Board to be filed & that Due obedience be paid to the Said Report

THE COMMITTEE appointed the ninth of this Instant month of July to View, Dig; Regulate Lay out and pave all the Streets in Montgomerie ward of the Said City made their Report in these words (to witt) City of New York ss: THE COMMITTEE appointed to View Dig Regulate Lay out and pave all the Streets in Montgomerie ward of said City July y Ninth day one Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty five Do In obedience of said order Report That they have Carefully Viewed and measured Queen Street Beginning at the uppermost part of the Stone Cell of the Corner House of Thomas Grenall to Run one Hundred and fifty foot along the west Side of the Said Street Ascending five Inches on Every ten foot from thence to the westermost Corner of John Dallys Lott which is Fifty Seven foot more on such an Ascent as will bring it Even with the pavement; the East Side of the Street to be paved in the Like manner and the Descent of Both Sides of the Street to the Kennell to be nine Inches all which is NEVERTHELESS Submitted by your Humble Servants Stephen Van Cortlandt Evert Bivanck Philip Livingston William Depeyster, Leonard Lespinard, Peter Clopper, which report being read & Considered of by this Board and ORDERD that Instead thereof the following order be made (to witt) Begining at the uppermost part of the Stone Step of the Corner House of Thomas Grenall and to run one Hundred foot Along the west side of the Said Street Ascending six Inches on every Ten foot from thence to the westermost Corner of John Dallys Lott which is one Hundred and Seven feet more on such an Ascent as will bring it Even with the pavement as it now Lies the East side [421] of the Street to be paved in the Like Manner, and the Descent of Each Side of the Street to the Kennell to be nine Inches and further ORDERD that due Obedience be paid to this order

IN Obedience to the said Order wee the underwritten do Report that with the Assistance of Francis Mareschalk City Surveyor we have this 16th July 1755 Carefully Regulated and Laid out the Street that Leads down from Beekman Street Called Street to Ferry Street And find the descent to be Eighteen feet 8 Inches on the Lenght of said Street Three hundred feet which is Seven and half Inches descent on the Lenght of every ten feet and Seven Inches descent from both Sides of the Street to the Kennell all which is humbly Submitted by Your humble Servants Stephen Van Cortlandt, Evert Bivanck, Leonard Lespinard William Depeyster which report being read and filed & approved of by this Board and ORDERD that due obedience be paid to the s? ORDERD the Like to Mr Abraham Van Duersen for Twenty one pounds to Discharge the Interest of Three Hundred and fifty pounds Due the Ninth of July Last ORDERD the Like to John Hardenbrook one pound Eight Shillings in full of his Account for Repairing the fire Engine House in Montgomerie Ward of this City, as his said Account Sworn to and allowed of by this board.

ORDERD the Like to Peter Clopper Twelve pounds Seven Shillings and Seven pence for the Like Sum by him Advanced and paid for Taking forty one Scow Loads of Mud out of the Fly Market Slip.

ORDERD that the Draft of a Petition from this Corporation to the Generall assembly (to pass a Bill in favour of this Corporation for a Lottery on the Same Terms and according to the provisions in the Late Act for a Lottery for a further provision towards founding a College, which Expired by its own Limitation) be forthwith prepared, the Same being accordingly prepared and read to this board, is in these words following: To the Honourable the House of Representatives for the Colony of New York. The Petition of the Mayor, Aldermen and Commonalty of the City of New York HUMBLY SHEWETH.
