ORDERD the Like to Mr John Depeyster or his order the Sum of Four hundred and Twelve Pounds & four pence three farthings in full for the Ballance of his account with this Corporation in which ballance is included the Sum of Ninety one Pounds Seventeen Shillings and Eight Pence for Materials by him Taken from the New Goal which he is To Credit the Said Goal Account with and the Remainder thereof being for So Much by him advanced and Laid out for this Corporation on the New Barracks/

Conformable to his Majesties Royall Charter Granted to the Mayor Aldermen and Commonalty of the City of New York for Electing this Day one Alderman one assistant Two assessors one Collector and Two Constables in the Six wards on the South Side of Fresh water

and one Alderman one Assistant four Assessors Two Collectors and four Constables for the out ward of the Said City To Serve in the Respective offices For the year Ensueing the Respective Aldermen of Each Respective ward made Return this Day under their hands For the Severall Persons Elected to Serve in the Severall Offices afore

[33] The Honourable James De Lancey Esq' Lieutenant Governour and Commander in Chief in and over the Province of New York & Territories Depending thereon in America by and with the advice and Consent of his Majesties Councill was pleased to appoint the following persons officers for the year Ensueing for the City and County of New York (to witt) John Cruger Esq' to be Mayor water Bailiff and Clerk of the Markets John Roberts Esq to be high Sheriff and John Burnet Esq' to be Corroner

RESOLVED (Nemine Contradicente) that Isaac Depeyster Esq' the Present Treasurer or Chamberlain of this Corporation be and he is hereby Elected and appointed Treasurer or Chamberlain of this Corporation for the year Ensueing, he Giveing Such Security as the Charter Directs/.

ORDERD that the Sum of Eight Pounds be allowed and Paid by the Treasurer or Chamberlain of this City to Alexander Forbush in order to Defray the Expence of Sinking a Well [at] the upper End of Nassau Street Near the New Dwelling House of Charles Harding in the North ward of the said City/

RESOLVED and ORDERD that Thomas Pettit be appointed and he is

hereby accordingly appointed high Constable for the City and County of New York for the year Ensueing or untill Some other fitt Person be appointed and Sworn in his Room/
