CHAPTER 119.

An Act to Authorize the Town of Windsor to Exempt the Consolidated Rendering Company from

Taxation.

(Passed the 13th day of May, A. D., 1913).

Section. 1. Tax exemption.

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

1. The Town Council of the Town of Winsdor is hereby authorized and empowered to exempt the lands now owned by the Consolidated Rendering Company, situate on the east side of the Trecothic Creek, in the Town of Windsor, from taxation for a period of ten years on any greater valuation than twelve thousand dollars.

CHAPTER 120.

An Act to Amend Chapter 89, Acts of 1911, entitled, "An Act to Enable the Town of Yarmouth to

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

1. Section one of Chapter 89, Acts of 1911, is hereby amended by striking out the word "eighty" in the second and thirteenth lines of said section and substituting therefor in each case the words "one hundred."

2. The said section one of said Chapter 89, Acts 1911, is further amended by striking out the word "four" in the seventeenth line of said section and substituting therefor the word "five."

3. Section 4 of said Chapter is amended by adding Section 4 thereto the following sub-section:

(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-sections one and two of this section, a meeting of the ratepayers for the purpose of adopting this Act as amended may be called and held at any time after the passing of this amendment, provided the same is duly convened in accordance with sections 143 and 144 of the Towns' Incorporation Act. But no subsequent meeting shall be called or held oftener than within six months of the holding of a previous meeting called for the same purpose.

CHAPTER 121.

An Act Relating to Sewerage in the Town of Yarmouth.

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:

(b) no action, suit or other proceeding, whether at law or in equity, shall lie or be brought against the Town of Yarmouth, or its Town Council or any member thereof, or any officer or employee of said town acting under the authority of the Town Council or against any person making use of such sewers in consequence of any drainage or material of any kind being deposited upon any land in said Yarmouth Harbor, below high water mark, through or by means of such sewers or by reason or in consequence of the construction or maintenance of such sewers; provided, however, that nothing herein shall be construed to prejudice or affect any suit or action now actually begun or pending.

2. The Town Council may employ and pay an be employed. engineer or engineers and assistants to make surveys of the town and to cause plans to be made of all existing sewers and to cause plans and estimates to be made, looking towards installing a full system of sewerage for the whole or such portions of the town as the Town Council may determine, and the Town Council may assess and pay for the same as a portion of the current annual town expenditure.

3. Every owner of property fronting on any street in which there is a public sewer constructed, and every owner of property which is reasonably accessable to a public sewer, when the Town Council, in the public interest, deem it advisable, may be ordered and compelled by the Town Council to construct a house drain and connect the same with a public sewer. Upon receipt of a copy of such order, signed by the Town Clerk, such owner shall within two weeks pay to the town the sewer entrance fee at the time in force, and shall within one month after such receipt construct such house drain and connect the same with a public sewer to the satisfaction of the Health Officer and also of Superintendent of Streets of the town for the time being. In case such owner shall neglect to so complete the same within said period, the Town Council shall without further notice cause the same to be done at the cost and charge of such owner, the amount of which may be recovered by the town by an action in any court having jurisdiction over the amount; and
