necessary and immediate repairs that may be requi-
site to protect said highways from damage and in-
jury after or during any weather conditions likely
to cause injury thereto, to keep the same free from ob-
struction, other than snow, and generally to perform
the duty of a section man over said highway.

35. The words "highway" or "highways" whereever used in this amending Act shall be construed to include all smaller structures, as defined by section two of Chapter 26, Acts 1912.

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and
Assembly, as follows:

1. Sub-section (1) of section 3 of Chapter 44 of the Acts of 1907, as substituted by section 1 of Chapter 29 of the Acts of 1911, is amended by striking out in line seven of said sub-section one the word "five" and substituting therefor the word "four."

2. This Act shall only apply to the City of Halifax.
