Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay John Shively for dieting three Companies of Col. Peter Grub's Battalion, viz:

Capt. Isaac Adams, £13 10 0; Capt. Henry Weaver, £7 4 0, & Capt. D. Morgan, £17 6 6, to be charged to Congress.

To pay Robert Towers, £37 16 3, for making Cartridges, SaltPetre, &ca.

Two orders were drawn on Mr. Nesbitt in favor of Walters & Bedwell, one for £30, the other £40 0 0, makes £70, towards their acc't for refining Sulphur.

To pay Lewis Guion £5 0 0, for a Riffle delivered to Col. Matlack, to be charged to Col. Matlack.

To pay John Davison £13 6 0 for 28 Cartouch Boxes, for Capt. Culberson's Company, to be charged to Col. Jos. Armstrong, & £2 17 0, for 6 Cartouch Boxes for Capt. McCune, to be charged to Col. Clark.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay Ludwig Karcher £636 9 6, being the Balance of his account for Victualling the Troops in the pay of this State, account certified by Mr. Rittenhouse, Mr. Hilligas & Mr. Gray, a Committee appointed to settle said Kercher's account.

A Commission was filled up for Sam'l Mifflin, Esq'r, Commodore of the Fleet in the service of this State, dated the 2nd Instant, & a Letter wrote to him to return from Amboy, (where he now is,) & take the Fleet immediately under his care and direction.

A Letter was also wrote to General Mercer, requesting he will permit Commodore Mifflin to return home for that Purpose.

A Petition was read from Wm. Whitpain, a Midshipman on board the Ship Mongomery, praying that he may be discharged, as he expects to go into the Continental service; after consideration of said Petition, it was

Resolved, That said Wm. Whitpain be discharged from the service of this state.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay John Tyler & Co., for repairing arms £8 3 0.

To pay Joseph Webb for Stocking Guns, &ca., £6 19 6; to pay Doct'r James Dunlap £16 13 6, for Medicines, &ca., for the use of the Fleet.

Mr. Towers to deliver Capt. Jack 4 Stands of Arms for Col. Allison Battalion, Cumberland County.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay John Mears £6 2 6, for Arms, &ca. delivered to Col. Henry Haller, to be charged to the Col.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay Capt. John Tweed £14 0 0, for two Riffles, to be charged to Col.

Jos. Ferree, Esq'r., of Germantown, was directed to deliver Doct'r Harris One Tun of Salt Petre & 500 lbs. of sulphur, out of the stores under his direction.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay Jonathan Butcher £3 0 0, for Blankets bo't for Col. Kirkbride's Battalion of Bucks County, to be charged to the Col.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay Wm. Stadleman £135 13 3, for dieting sundry Troops on their March to Camp, to be charged to Congress.

An order was given for Rob't Jewell, Esq'r, was authorized & Required to receive the Bodies of Messrs. James Forrest, Thomas Byrn & Shanks into his Custody, they being Prisoners of War, Taken by Capt. Isaiah Robinson of the Armed Sloop Sachem.

Mr. Towers was directed to deliver Lieut. Col. Peter Heydrick of Col. Green's Battalion of Lancaster County 60 Stand of Arms. Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay Ab'm Hasselberg

Au order was drawn on Jno. M. Nesbitt, Esq'r, Treasurer, was didirected to pay Mr. Isaac Levan £50 0 0, on Acco't of the Committee of Berks County, for supplying the Families of poor Associa tors who are now in Actual service, with necessaries, to be charged to said Committee.

The Committee of Inspection and Observation of Reading, in Berks County, having represented to the Board the necessity of keeping a Guard in that Town,

Resolved, That the Committee of Reading be empowered to appoint a small Guard in that town so long as the Prisoners of War shall reside there, and this board will take proper Measures to defrey the expence attending it.

An order of Col. Wm. Montgomery for £6 7 0, for 2 Guns, 2 Bayonets, & 1 Cartouch Box, to be charged to Col. Montgomery. Wm. Sutton gave his Parole not to go more than 7 Miles from this City.

Commission granted for Sloop Jupiter, Privateer, Fran's, Illingsworth, Comm'r, 80 Tons, 95 men, 14 carriage Guns, own'd by Nicholas Low, & co.

John M. Nesbitt, Esq'r, Treasurer, was directed to pay Tho's Moss £4 10 0, for Nursing a sick Man of Major Proctor's Comp'y of Artillery.

The Minutes of a part of the Council, Sept'r 10, was read to the Board, whereupon it was

Resolved, That the said Proceedings be confirmed.

Resolved, That on Saturday next the Council will take the Naval armaments of this State & the Guard for this City, into their consideration, and the Secretary is order'd to summons the members to meet on that day precisely at 8 o'Clock, A. M.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay David Dominick for painting Amunition Carts, &ca., £5 6 0.

Capt. Robert Hardie, £4 10 0 for Bounty, 3 men.

Resolved, That Proper persons be immediately employed in each County of this State to purchase up all the Blankets, Coarse Linens, Woolen Cloths, Mittens, & Stockings, which can be had, for the use of our Troops.

As the Associators of the State of Pennsylvania who have been call'd in service are now returning; therefore,

Resolved, That this Board do apply to Congress praying that Directions may be given for paying in this City their wages & Milage, and request that Congress will explain whether it is intended by their Resolve respecting milage, that the Officers should have as many pence mile as they are allowed rations by resolve of Congress.

Mr. Nesbitt was directed to pay Jno. Reed £11 12 6, for dieting 4 Companies of Militia, to be charged to Congress.
