Peter Lansing & Abm Yates, & Messrs John Van Alen and Gerrardus Lansing as a Committe to settle all the accounts against the Corporation.

This Board agreed with Francis Martain for to keep Benjamin Gable, the Publick Whipper, to begin from the fourth day of June last at five shillings a week.

Resolved by this Board that the Treasurar sell one hundred Schiple of the City wheat at five shillings Schipple.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order in favour of Thomas Seeger for six Schipple of wheat.

Resolved by this Board that the Court draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of John Readtliff for three Schipple of wheat.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Wednesday the 12th day of August, 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favor of Robert Lansing for £10:6:6, being for takeing care of the fire Ingoins from the 23d June 1765 to the 24d June 1767, being two years.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of John Cortney two pounds being in part of payment for bringing stone to the Docks.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Friday the 18th day of Sep, 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Thomas Cannan for two pounds and six pence, being for boarding the whipper from the 20th of April to the 29th of May, at the rate of one shills day.

This day was delivered to this Board by the Treasurar a list of the undermentioned persons indebted to the Corporation for Quit Rent, viz: Johannis Knickerbacker, Janetje Ouderkerk, Christian Christianse, Peter Benneway, Daniel Van Antwerp, Dirck Van Vechte, Wouter Grooesbeek, Johs N. Grooesbeek, Ephraim Wemp, Sybrant Quackenboss, Jacob A. Fort, Daniel T. Van Vechten, Frederick Cluet, Peter Dox, Harme & Tunis Van Vechte & Marte Winne, Joachim Kettlehuyn, Nicholas Grooesbeek, Philip Van Ness, Abram Beeker and the widow of Daniel McMichael.

Resolved by this Board that the Treasurar writ to the above persons for to make speedy payment to prevent trouble.

This day was delivered to this Board by Adam Yates a Petition setting for to settele the Ground in dispute with him.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Johannis Pruyn for £176, being in part of payment for building the Dock by the stone wall.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Thomas Seger for six Schipple of wheat and charge the same to his Acc1.

Resolved by this Board that the Deed be given to William Regal for tha Ground which he bought of the Corporation some time the sum of £176.

Resolved that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Anthony Flensburgh for six Schipple of wheat and charge the same to his Acct.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Fryday the 25th Sep, 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Ground in the Foxes Creek to the East of the lot of Peter Dewandelaer be laid out into 4 Lotts of thirty-seven feet front & rear in lenght on both sides 198 feet, except Lott No. 16 is 39 feet front and rear, and the length the same with ye other, be sold at Publick Vendue on Wednesday the 30th Sep ins1 and with a Quit Rent of six shillings on each Lot yearly and every year for ever.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Tuesday the 29th Sep, 1767.

Whereas the Ordinance formerly made by the Mayor, Aldermen and Comonalty of this City for electing two Constables in each ward in this City is expired of its own limitation, it is hereby ordained by the Mayor, Aldermen and Comonalty of this City that on this day shall be chosen in each ward two Petty Constables, of which the Aldermen in each ward or any of them shall make their return with the rest of the City officers.

This day being presented to this Board a Petition of the Minister, Elders and Deacons of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of this City of Albany for a peice of Ground lying in the Foxes Creek for to build a Church on, which this Board will grant upon such Conditions as hereafter shall be thought proper.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Tuesday the 29th Sep', 1767, P. M.-Present, the Mayor, Recorder, Peter Lansing, Abraham Yates, Jun, Henry I. Bogerd, Jacob J. Lansing, Naning Visher, Gerardus Lansing, John Van Alen, John Fryer, Dirk B. V. Schoenhoven, John Ten Broeck.

This day being appointed by Charter for the election of Aldermen, Common Council & Constables, &c., the following is the order in which they were elected and returned.

First Ward-Peter Lansing and Henry I. Bogerd, Aldermen; John Van Alen & John Fryer, Common Council; Leonard Cortney & Willm McIntosh, Constables.

Second Ward-John R. Bleeker & Jacob Lansing, Aldermen; Naning Visher & John N. Bleecker, Common Council; Jacob Pruyn & Samuel Benneway, Constables.

Third Ward-Abraham Yates, Jr, & Abm Ten Broeck, Aldermen; Dirk

B. V. Schoenhoven, & John Ten Broeck, Common Council; George Bower & Sam Williams, Constables.

Henry Bleecker appointed Chamberlain; Johannes Seeger appointed Marshell; Leonard Cortney appointed High Constable.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Wednesday the 30th Sep, 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the several Lots be sold at Publick Vendue this day according to the resolve made the 25th September, 1767, with a Quit rent of four shillings yearly and every year for ever on each Lot.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Wednesday the 12th Oct, 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurer in favour of Gerrardus Lansing for five pounds being for attending the work done at the new Barricks.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Wednesday the 14th day of October, 1767.

The following officers were this day sworn and quallifyed in their offices. First Ward-Peter Lansing & Henry I. Bogerd, Aldermen; John Van Alen, Common Council; Van Olinda Cortney & Willm McIntosh, Constables.

Second Ward-Jacob J. Lansing, Alderman; John N. Bleeker, Common Council; Jacob Pruyn, Constable.

Third Ward-Abraham Yates, Junt, & Abri Ten Broeck, Aldermen ; Dirck B. V. Schoven, Common Council; Sam Williamson, Constable. At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Wednesday the 25th day of November, 1767.

John R. Bleecker being this day sworn and qualified as one of the Aldermen of this City; John Ten Broeck being sworn as one Common Council.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Henry V. Dyck for sixteen shillings for dressing the whippers leg. The following persons being appointed Fire Masters for the year ensuing: John E. Bradt & Barent Staats for the first ward.

Barent Ten Eyck & John I. Pruyn for the second ward.
Mas Blomendal & Gerrit V. Vranke for third ward.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar to pay the following persons:

This Board agreed with Isaac a Negro to keep Benjamin Gable the Publick whipper from this date.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Tursday the 26th day of November, 10 A. M., 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Thomas Seeger for six Schipple wheat and charge the same to his Acc'.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Tursday the 26th day of November, 1767, P. M.

Resolved by this Board that the Treasurar sell two hundred Schiple of the City wheat to such persons as he shall think fit for ready cash at five shillings Schipple.

Resolved by this Board that the Mayor sign the following Deeds, viz, and that the City Seal be thereunto affixed:

One to Barent Ten Eyck for Lot No. 3.

Lot No. 7 belongs to Paul Hogstroser and Isaac Van Arnum according to the Release.

One to Paul Hogstroser for Lot No. 16.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Patrick Clarke for £45:11:6 for services done for the said City with his cart and horse.

One Do. to Francis Martin for £6:9 for boarding the Publick Whipper from the 4th June 1767 until the second day of November Ins1.

One Do. to Thomas Seeger for £5 New York money, being in part of payment for services done as Marshel for the last year.

This day was delivered by this Board to the City Treasurar an exact account of all persons that had any demands on this City for publick services done. Ordered by this Board that the Treasurar pay all those persons in full, always except John Price, William Hogan, Bastiaen Fisher & Rynier Van Alstyne; Price & Hogan you are to pay thirty pounds and the like sum to Visher & Van Alstyne.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Saturday the 20th day of December, 1767.

The following persons were this day appointed Fire Masters:
Gerrit Ryckman & Henry Van Vechten for first ward.

Thomas D. Hun for third ward.

Cornelius Glen for second ward.

Naning Visher is sworn and qualifyed as Common Council.

Resolved by this Board that there be allowed unto Stephen De Lancey for attending as Clerk from the first day of June 1766 to the first day of June 1767, at the rate of sixteen pounds.

One Do. in favour of John Readtliff for ringing the Bell from October 1766 to October 1767, at the rate of five pounds.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Tursday the 31st December, 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Ground being in the second ward near the Foxes Creek be given unto the Minister, Elders and Deacons of the Reformed Prodestant Dutch for to build a Church on, to contain in breadth on the East thirty feet and in length on the North side two hundred and fifty feet and in the rear on the West one hundred and thirty-five feet, all English measure; bounded on the North on the street that leads to the Foxes Creek of forty-five feet broad and on the West by an other street and on the South by a street of thirty feet broad, the length along said street 205 feet.

Resolved by this Board that the Mayor in behalf of this Board sign a Deed for the same and the City Seal be affixed thereto, according to a Petition delivered to this Board the 29th Sep 1767, Entred in the Minutes of Common Council.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Jacobus P. Van Benthuysen for one pound fifteen shillings. Resolved by this Board that the Treasurar sell two hundred Schiple of the City wheat to the Inhabitants of this City at 5s. Schipple.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Saturday the 2d of January, 1768.

This Board being informed that Robert Leake has petitioned for vacant ground at Schatacok which this Board claims and a part of it is in possession of Barnardus Bratt, Resolved by this Board that a Letter be sent to Anthony Ten Eyck at New York to employ one or more Attorneys to defend the Right of this Corporation.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Fryday the 12th day of February, 1768.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk give an order on the Treasurar in favour of Philip Reyley for five pounds for attending the Town Clock for the year 1767.

Resolved by this Board that the Treasurar settele with Isaac Fordt and deduct four pounds of his Rent.

At a Common Council held for the City of Albany at the City Hall of the said City on Wednesday the 9th day of March, 1768.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw orders on the Treasurar in favour of the Accounts:

One in favour of James Marr for thirty shillings, one do. in favour of Volkert Dawson of eighteen shiles & 5d, one Do. for Abm Defrees for fourteen shilgs & 1d, one Do. for John Williams for eight shilgs, one Do. for Nicholas Brower for two pounds fifteen shillings.

Resolved by this Board that the four several Docks belonging to this Corporation be sold at Publick Vandue on Monday the 14th Ins'.

Resolved by this Board that the Clerk draw an order on the Treasurar in favour of Thos Seeger for twelve Schiple of wheat and charge the same to his Acc. One Do. for John Readtliff for three Schiple of wheat and charge the same to his Acc'.
