To Levt John Hall Constable for the Town of Darryfield Greeting

you are hear by Required in the Name of the Govermont and People of this State to Levy and Colect of the Several Parsons Named in the Lists hearwith Committed unto you eatch one his Respective proportion therein Set Down the Some total of Sutch Lists Being as by an act of the general Court of Said State for the use of the united States of Amarica in particular for the use of this State for the Currant year and you are to Collect and pay or cause to be paid into the Treasurey of Said State the Sum of five Thousand Nine hundred and fifty one Pounds five Shillings one Third part of Said Sum you are to Collect and Pay or cause to be Paid in to the Treasury of this State by the first Day of June next, one Sixth part of Said Sum you are to Collect and Pay or cause to be paid into the Treasury by the first Day of August next one thurd part of Said Sum you are to Collect and pay or Cause to be Paid into the Treasury of Said State by the first Day of october next and one Sixth part you are to Colect and pay or Cause to be payd into the Treasury by the fifteenth Day of December next Excepting the taxes on the nonresidents Land being unimproved on whitch you are not to Distrain till after the first Day of october Next the whole to be paid in Bills emetted by the Congress of the united States Bills Emutted by this State or Notes emetted for Paying Bountys to Solders,

you are also to pay us the Select men of Darryfield and County afore Said for the year 1780 the Just and full Sum of the Remaindng part of the whole List at or before the first Day of Jeneuary next and if aney parson or parsons Neglect or Refuse to make payment of of the Sum or Sumes where at he She or they are assed or Set Down in Said List to Distrain the goods or Chattls of the Said Delinquant or delinquants to the value thereof and the Distraints So taken you are to keep the Space of fore Days at the Cost and Charge of the oner and if the owner doth pay the Sum or Sumes So assesed upon him her or them with in the Said fore Days the Distress So

taken you are to Expose and openly Sell at an outcry for payment of the Tax and Charges notice of Sutch Sail Being posted in Some Publick Place in Said Town twenty fore hours Before hand and the over plus if aney there be after Said Sail besids the Said assesment and Charges of keeping the Distress or Distresses to be imediatly Restored to the oner and for want of goods and Chattele whereon to make Distress you are to Sieze the Body or Bodys of him her or them So Refusing and him her or them Commit to the Common Gole of Said County there to Remain untill he she or they Pay and Satisfy the Sum or where at he She or they are assesed Respectively as afore Said and this Shall Be your Sufficeant warrent

You ane hear by Required in the Name of the Goverment and people of Said State to warn or Cause to be warned all the free holders and Inhabitants of the Town of Darryfield Quallifyed By Law to vote in town meetings that they meet at the meetinghouse in Said Darryfield on monday the Twenty Second Day of may instent at two of the Clock in the afternoon of Said Day to act on the following articals (viz)

1ly To Chooes a Moderator to Regulate Said Meeting 2ly To See what method the Town will take to Carry on the present war and Rais solders when Called for

3dly to See if the Town will vote to Chooes a Committy to Examin into Levt David Starritts administration on the Real and Parsonal Estate of Elizabeth Massey with full power of substitution to prosicute the Bond if need full

4thly to See if the Present free holders now Inhabitants will vote to Sell the pew ground in meeting house at Publick vandue in order to Raise money to Repair the meeting house and chuse a Committy for that and

5thly to See if the town will vote to Petition the Generill Cort for Liberty to Rate all the Land Improved andunInproved in order to Raise money to Repair the meeting house and hier preaching Equal to three Pence an acre as it was in the year 1774

6thly to See how maney Sabbaths Days preaching the town will votte to have this year including the five hundred Dollars all Ready Raised

7thly to See if the town will vote to have aney Representation in the Generill Court and vote what town they will Choose to Join with and Chooes a Committy to Treet with the town that we Shall Choose to join with

8thly to See if the Town will vote to make James Gorman aney Consideration for his Extriordinarry Service as Constable the Last year and how mutch

Make Proper Return of this warrant and your Doings thereon unto us at or on Said Day for holding Said meeting hearof fail not

2ly voted that the melittia Offesers to gether with the Selectmen Shall Provide or git By hier Sutch Solders as Shall from time to time Be Called for as our Cota toards Carrying on the war as Cheep and in the Best manner they Can and the Charge of Said hier if they Cannot Be Got By Enlistment to Be paid By a Rate that Shall Be Levied on the poles and Estates of the Inhabitants of the town.
