We Command you in the Name and authority of the People of this State that you worn all the freeholders and other Inhabitance of Said Town Quallefyed By Law for to vote at town meetings that they meet at the meeting house in Said

town on friday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant July 1779 at twelve oclock at Noon then and there when meet

first to Chuse a moderater to Rogulate Said meeting

2ly to Chose a Town Clerk and Select man in the Room of Levt David Starritt who is Removed out of Town

3ly to See if the town will Raise aney money to precure Preaching and how mutch

4ly to act on aney thing they Shall think proper when meet

Make proper Return of this worrant and your Doings unto us the Subscribers at or Before the time of holding Sd Meeting

fail not as you would avoid the penalty of the Law

(Seal) To James Gorman Constable for the Town of Derryfield for the present year Greating

we Command you in the Name and by the authority of the People of this State that you warn all the freeholders and other inhabitants of sd Town Qualified By Law for Voting in Town meetings that they assemble and meet at the meetinghouse in Said Dariyfield on thursday the nineteenth Day of this Instant august at one of the Clock in the afternoon to act on the folloing articles (viz)

1ly to Chuse a moderator to Regulate sa meeting

2ly to See if the Town will comply with the Plan of Goverment as it was agreed upon by the Convention whitch Set at Concord in this State on the fifth Day of June Last and to act aney thing upon this article that they shall think Nessessary that we may be able to make Returne of our Proceedings to the Convention at there next Setting whitch will Be on the third Tuesday in September next

3dly to See what method the Town will take Respecting the money that Ebenezer Stephens hired in Behalf of the Town for Continantial Soldiers

4ly to see if the Town will abate James mcneghts of his Pole tax this present year

Make proper return of this warrant and of your Doings unto us the Subscribers at or Before Said Day

fail not as you would avoid the Penalty of the Law

Persuant to the above warrant the Town met at time and place and proceeded as followeth (viz)

the meeting Being Calld and conveand lly voted Con John Goffe moderator

2ly Voted on the Secondly voted first that the Town Choose a Committy to Considder of Said Convention act and make Return to the Town at the Next meeting

2ly Voted that Colonal John Goffe Levt John Hall Levt Samuel Boyd Insign Joseph Sanders misers John Shilden Abel hise and Jonathan Russ Be Said Committy

3ly Voted that this meeting Be adjourned to the thirteenth Day of September next

the Town Being meet according to a Journment they proceeded as foloth (viz)

the Committy not agreeing they Refused to make Return other than varbal and So the Question wos Poot to see if the town would Except of Said Convention act as a form of Goverment or not and passed in the Negetive By a majorrity of thirty one against Excepting of it and ondley too for it

then the Town proceed to the

3 article and voted that there be a Committy to inquier into the affair Conserning the money hired By mr Ebenezer Stephens hired for Continantial Solders and make Return to the town at there next meeting conserning the Same

2ly Voted that Levt John Little Levt Sam' Boyd and mr Jonathan Russ Be Chosen for Said Committy

4thly the forth article passed in the negetive and the meeting was Desolved Recorded this 14 Day of Septembr 1779

we Command you in the Name of the goverment and People of this State that you warn all the freeholders and other

Inhabitants of the Town of Darryfield Quallified By Law to Vote in Town meetings that they assemble and meet at the meeting house in Said Darryfield on monday the thirteenth Day of September next at ten of the clock in the forenoon to act on the following articles (viz)

1ly to Choose a moderator to Regulate Said meeting

2dly to See if the Town will comply with the Request of the Town of portsmouth in adopting Some metthod in order to give Stability to our Sinking Corrancy

3ly To Chuse a Diligate or Diligates for to act in Conjunction with the Diligates that may be Sent from the other towns in this State to Set in Convention proposed to Be hild at Concord in this State on Wednesday the 22d Day of September next for the afore Said purposes

4ly to See if the Town will Call Some of the former Constables to an accompt (viz) parce and Dickey to see what they have Done with the towns money that they were to Collect and take proper method to Settle with them therefor

Make proper Return of this warrant and your Doings unto us the Subscribers at or Before Sd the Day of holding Said meeting

fail not as you would avoid the penalty of the law
