Greeting in his Majestyes name you are hereby Required to Levey and Colect of the Several persons named in the List hear with Commeted to you Each one his Respecttive proporIcion therein Sat Down

The Sum Totel of Said List of Assessment is a Tax Laid on the male polls Estats and Incums of the Inhabitants of the afore Said Town of Derryfield for the Suport and mentancence of Said province and County to which we Belong and the Remainder of Said List for Defraying the Chairges of Said Town for the Present year. and you are to pay to the Treshurer of Said Province. for the Time being the Sum of Three Pounds twelve Shilings Lawfull Money. as Likways

you are to pay to the Treshurer of Said County three Pounds fifteen Shilling and Eleven Pance Lawful Money. at or before the first Day of Janewarey Next Insuing the Date hereof. and pay the Whole of the Remander of Said List to us or our order or to the Select men or there order for the time being. and make up the Wole of your Collecttion of the whole Sum. of Said List at or Before the Last Monday of February Next. and If ancy person or persons named in Said List Shall Neglect or Refuse to pay the Sum or Sums. Wharat he or they are theirin Respactively Assed you are to observe and follow the Derections in the Law in Leven and Collecting the Same.

A TRANSCRIP OF A HAGIL WAY

then Laid Out a High way for the use and Benefit of the Town of Derryfield three Rods wide. Begining at a pich pine

tree and marked for a mile tree with the Laters, :W: M: and the Number, 25: upon Derryfield Line Joyning to the Road Laid out by Chaster. From thence by Marked trees as the path is now trood to the Corner of the pond the South Bach, and from thance, as the path is now trood to the Road Leading from Capta Alexander macmurphys to Londonderry and we Do alow for Said Land So taken up by us for Said Road high Way Land if aney ajoyning to the oweners of the Land to Whome the Road gows throw. other wayes if no highway Land ajoyning we Do alow three Shillings per Acer.

You are Hereby Required in his majestyes name to apprize a Certain Stray Heffer taken & Strayed by Ebenezer Stavens to be shoun to you by him you are to Set a Just & true Value upon her according to the best of your Judgments and you are to act Impartialy herein upon your oaths and make Return to me of the Marks of Said Heffer both the Natural and Artifical-& of your Doings therin upon your Oaths Without Loss of time-fail Not at your perrils.

Personaly appeared the Above Named Levtn John Hall & Joseph farmer & Made Solem Oath that they had proceaded according to the above precept and have apprized the above Named Heffer Showen to them by Mr Ebenezer Stavens to be a Stray & finds her to be two yearold past and that She is Marked with a Crop on both Ears and a Slit in the off Ear and has Som gray hairs in her tail and is of a Darke Brown Collor & is Worth Seven Dollors to the best of our Judgment and no more & that they acted Impartialy in apprizing Said Heffer and vewing her Marks

1-ly to Chouse a Moderator to Regulate Said meeting 2-ly to Draw one man from the Box to Serve on the Petit Jury at the next Court of general Sessions of the pace to be houlden at Amhirst on the first thursday next following the first Tuesday of January next and this Shall be your sufacant warrant Geven under my hand at Darryfield this 7th Day of December, 1774.
