cents; for every chair, or other two-wheeled carriage of pleasure,

sled or sleigh, drawn by four horses, thirty-seven and an half

An act making appropriation for the employment of additional clerks in the Land-offices.

7HEREAS, by the operation of the act, entitled, "An act

directing the mode of settling accounts in the land offices, and to prevent frauds in obtaining warrants for land;" passed April the thirteenth, one thousand eight hundred and seven, there has been such an influx of business into the land-offices, as requires an extraordinary effort to bring up the books, and issue the patents now pending therein; and as that cannot be done without a large appropriation of money for the payment of clerk-hire for the present year: Therefore,

SECT. I.
