XI.-XX. OF Norfolk Archäology COMPILED UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE NORFOLK AND NORWICH ARCHÆOLOGICAL SOCIETY BY THE LATE JOHN OLORENSHAW, Hon. Member, AND A LIST OF THE PRINCIPAL PLACES VISITED, JULY, 1890, TO DECEMBER, 1927. NORWICH: PRINTED BY GOOSE & SON, Ltd. PREFATORY NOTE. one of The Norfolk and Norwich Archæological Society has for many years projected an Index to Volumes XI. to XX. of its Publication, and through the interest and industry of the late Mr. Olorenshaw the MS. work was completed last year, but, most unfortunately, the sudden death of the compiler prevented him from seeing it through the press. As a result, the task of general arrangement and proof-correcting has been very great difficulty and intricacy, and has only been accomplished through the combined and invaluable efforts of Mr. F. Johnson and Mr. A. W. Goose, with some assistance from the Editorial Secretary. It is hoped that members of the Society, and other readers, will take into consideration the above-mentioned circumstances when they judge the work as a whole, and make due allowance for any defects or errors which the Index may contain. |
